My wife is not a military or history buff but the two of us spent over three hours touring this wonderful museum and she thoroughly enjoyed the visit as did I! The displays are in the open and very well constructed. Detail information provides as deep an understanding as you’d like about US wars from the revolution through Afghanistan. We did the flight simulator [I flew an F-18 as well as a small prop plane], the virtual reality [HALO parachuting, Zodiac launching from a copter and close evacuation support] as well as simulated pistol target practice. It all was a blast! It was exciting to speak to veterans who had actual experience with much of the weapons, equipment and campaigns in the museum. Every one was extremely friendly, helpful, and willing to patiently answer questions. We were very pleasantly surprised to see such a first class museum within driving distance of our Sarasota home!

We spent about 2-3 hours and had a group of 6. Enjoyed seeing the military history. They have an elevator and ADA accessible. Reserve your time slot for the flight simulator and make sure you catch the virtual reality before it closes at 3 PM. Learn about all the wars from Revolutionary to Afganistan. Heavy emphasis on WW2 and Vietnam.

Wonderful museum with lots of exhibits that honored the brave men and women that have served our country. Interacting with the veteran docents was the best. I flew an F-18 fighter on a flight simulator with a Marine who had flown them in the war. In the virtual reality exhibit, I jumped out of airplanes with a parachute in a war zone. That's the ONLY way I will jump out of a plane. It was amazing! Listening to the video interviews of some of the docents about their lives and their time serving was so insightful!

This is a wonderful museum featuring articles and documentation from prior wars. The staff is so helpful and eager to give information and tell stories. The flight simulation and reality experiences were awesome. Will take many more visitors to this wonderful museum.

A very well put together experience with exhibits from many U.S. conflicts. There was a video documentary that was very informative and the virtual simulators where amazing. Former military and non military will both enjoy, a must see if in Punta Gorda. The price of admission is worth every penny. I myself will return the next time in town.

Completely enjoyed my visit to the Military Heritage Museum, the staff is welcoming and very helpful. So much to see and take in, if there is a lecture when you visit I highly recommend it. The flight simulators are a wonderful experience, as is the smokeless firing range, oh the 3D experience is very special and highly recommended.

Great complex honoring our military. There's VR, a laser gun range, and Flight Simulators. These are great fun for all ages. The memorabilia was also great to see. Would definitely recommend a visit. However don't schedule a whole afternoon. You can get through it within 1-2 hours.

This museum covers all the wars since before time! Very well laid out. Plenty of veterans will walk you through and denote special times along with their valuable input about their time served.

This was a really cool museum. Small but worth it. They had 4 Oculus VR headsets that had 6 different scenarios which were really intense. My son did the flight simulator in which a gentleman who flew B-29 bombers during Korea walked him through the simulation. He was thrilled and so was I! The staff was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend.

As a former volunteer at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH and the USS Essex in NYC, I was truly impressed by this small, but impressive museum. The displays are well done, extensively researched and clearly presented. The library is a great place to fill you love of military literature. I had a Korean war era, B-29 pilot serve as my "instructor" on the flight simulator and had a blast piloting a P-38. Highly recommended!
