Great and informed staff and many interesting exhibit. Worth the time! They also have a number of shows directed at the person who enjoys the idea of military service.

Best meat ever

Wow! Wow! Wow! Supermarket meat was grossing me out from everywhere. Being a meat and potato kind of family I needed to find a good ranch. Three Suns is it! We started with a couple butcher boxes to try a little of everything. Narrowed it down to the meat we liked for all other orders. Our favorites are both beef & bison filets, Boston butt, bratwurst, skirt steak, flank steak, and ground bison for burgers. I really don't think I can ever have a "normal" burger again. Excited to try the ribs this month. When it comes to price we actually save money. We order 9-10 meals at a time with it lasting about three weeks. Between left overs and having other dinners. It cuts back on running to the grocery every couple days to pick up dinner. That is a massive savings in our house. It all comes frozen which I don't mind at all. At least I know it's only been frozen once. Not to mention the smell..... NOTHING like grocery store meat. I could go on and on. Give this place a whirl!

Wonderful tour and ability to buy their excellent meat.

I had enjoyed the Three Suns tour with my father a year ago. It was wonderful to see the excellent management of the animals. I have been back many times to buy their various cuts of bison, grass-fed beef and wild hog. I have started bringing a cooler to stow my haul for the drive home. Every time I shop, there seems to be more items available. Today, I was able to buy bison tendons for my dog. She enjoyed it very much! We will also enjoy the osso bucco bison, wild hog chorizo, and beef tenderloin. To many wonderful cuts to list! Be aware that the shop is open on Wednesday and Saturday for a portion of the day.

We drive down from Venice Fl. Purchased a cooler full in March and returned for another one today. Amazing selection of Beef, bison and wild hog. Love that it’s fresh frozen and grass fed. Great prices! Hard to find those qualities in the supermarket.

Frozen food and less than inviting signs

When you pull up to this place, there are all kinds of signs that threaten you to stop otherwise you will be prosecuted. As it turns out, one must ingore these signs and proceed to the office on the left. Food offerings are good, however it would be nice if there was some meat that was not frozen.

AMAZING PLACE TO SEE LIVE BUFFALO

This ranch is a 45 minute ride from Punta Gorda and well worth the drive. There is a tour in a covered wagon during which you see buffalo roaming the area. There are also wild boar. When we were there we saw a boar brought to the store area in a cage. Both buffalo and boar meat are available to purchase in the store. We bought both and they are delicious.

Due to technical issues no tours for the rest of the year

Was there with friends for a tour. Booked in advance but we were informed, that due to technical issues there are no tours for the rest of the year. Doesn't sound to good. Went there anyway to see what meat they offer. Driving there you could see a lot of buffalo not to far away. Went to the shop to get some meat. Pricing was good but they could have a bit more in stock and not only frozen. Therefor my overall rating only average.

Probably worth doing

North American Bison? Almost within touching distance? That's what attracted me to the tour of the Three Suns Ranch. It's probably unique in North America and that fact alone made me want to take this tour. However, for people like me who don't hear very well, here's almost important tip: sit at the back of the tour trolley or you won't hear any of the commentary!. The logical place from which the commentary would be given is at the front but it's not, it's at the back. The noise and the wind across the microphones in my hearing aids meant that I heard little of the commentary. If I had, I might well have rated this a little higher.
But it must be worth taking this unique tour.
Appreciate this is a ranch. It's a long way from anywhere, allow 35 minutes travel from Punta Gorda if you know where you're going, more time if you don't.

I learned a lot. The tour was very personal. Beautiful cattle and bison in Florida, who thought?
And there's a gift shop!
Don't miss out on the meat shop where you can purchase bison and wild pork as well as bison grass fed beef.
