A pleasant walk through the waters and the native fauna of Florida. Small wildlife abounds, but you have to be observant, quiet, and pace yourself to see all that is around you. The Only cost is your gas getting there.

This park has so mi h to offer. Great place to watch the sunset, boardwalk for dishing, beach for sunning or picnicing, trails for walking and exploring nature. The wild life preserve is right there and if youbgo early you can hear the owls. VERY cool place to visit... and free!

We walked around the park along the short trails - about a half mile in total - which included walking on the boardwalk. There is a boat ramp and some fishermen on the piers.

It has a short boardwalk, there is a small beach area where one can go into the water, also there is a wild life refuge center.

Our once a year walk around the harbor at Ponce de Leon provides a million views. Harbor, fauna and people make your walk super enjoyable. A couple restaurants provide an ideal respit.

After the River cruise we enjoyed the poncedeLeon park the view was breathtaking and the care the injured creatures received was inspiring. My hats off to these wonderfully unselfish ppl carding for these animals. Truly Gods caretakers

I've been to Ponce de Leon Park a few times. There is ample parking, a few boardwalks to explore, and a very small sandy area with picnic shelters. It is next to the Peace River Wildlife Center as well, which is great. The park is clean and feels very safe; the only thing is that it's not huge and there isn't too much to do aside from watch the boats come and go.

We stopped here for a picnic. There is enough parking and plenty of picnic tables overlooking the water. You can't really walk down into the ocean because there is a concrete type barrier between the sand and ocean. But that was fine because we didn't want to get into the ocean in January anyway. There is a boardwalk that goes into the mangrove trees that was neat to walk around. Would be a nice place to watch the sunset over the water.

This park features a small beach, a picnic area, a boat launch, and a short mangrove boardwalk nature trail. I brought some takeout from the Fisherman’s Village and ate at the beach. Quiet place to spend some time. There’s a wildlife center there as well that I didn’t get the chance to check out.

They are right. There are no restaurants or vending machines at Ponce park. The Peace River Wildlife Center is there for touring, no charge, donation requested. There are public bathrooms.

The gate is closed after sundown and opened at sunup but recently the gate has been left open a couple of times. However, I would take it as closed at night. It's the best place for sundown with a glass of wine.
