Enjoyed coming down there each morning to observe the sun rise. This is a beautifully maintained park with shady trees to sit and watch pass time

What a great park to enjoy on a beautiful weekend morning and afternoon. The walking paths, and the waterfront area, were great for relaxing, and catching some amazing water views....we even saw some dolphins not too far off into the bay. Definitely a great "respite" from downtown activities.

We had a beautiful picnic set up for us by our son for our wedding anniversary. The park was absolutely beautiful. I was a bit concerned about the homeless man, karate chopping the air around him and he kept coming towards us. After awhile he dug through the trash can and left. But still a very beautiful park.

I am in total love with this park, its blue and green views, the many benches they have, and the outstanding trees they have.
You can park on the streets and pay with the park mobile app. There’s plenty of spaces so you won’t have a problem.
I liked to walk around the park, take pictures, sit down and relax.

The park has several statues. Located near the pier and marina. Has plenty of stores near it. Nas several trees and beaches.

Lovely Linear Park Along The Harbor
During our business trip to St. Petersburg, I had the opportunity to walk North Straub Park many times. We were staying at the Renaissance Vinoy, which basically forms the northern terminus of North Staub Park at 5th Ave NE. This park runs between Bayshore Dr NE with the North Yacht Basin and Tampa Bay to the east and Beach Dr NE, with hotels, restaurants, bars and art galleries to the west. The southern end has the lovely Museum of Fine Arts, and beyond that, the counterpart - the also linear South Straub Park.
I probably strolled on every walkway in, through and beside North Straub Park, heading to meals, and to find wines. The Park is lovely, with giant live oaks, and banyan trees framing it, and with a large, open lawn area. On the northern end, there is a pavilion, and then scattered about the park, interesting statuary, though some pieces do not seem to have stood the test of time, all that well - still, interesting to see.
The walkways are all smooth, and my wife and I walked through North Straub Park, returning to the Vinoy, after dinner, and found it well-lit.
On the Bayshore Dr NE side, there is the free Downtown Loop bus route, that takes one throughout St Petersburg. On that side too, in the yacht harbor, one can find several charter vessels moored.
Whether walking through the Park, on the harbor side, or on the Beach Drive side, it is lovely. I felt fortunate to be able to spend so much time, over several days in this lovely park.

I have been here for food and music festivals, as well as just a pleasant stroll. This park is right next to the Museum of Fine Arts and across the street from many delicious restaurants and cafes. The combination of trees, bay view with boats, and sunshine is great any time of year. My favorite thing about it are the huge banyan trees there.

North Straub Park, located perfectly in the downtown area of the city, along the Beach Drive, has very peaceful looks about it. It's nice to walk there, to enjoy scenic views of the park itself and of the city marina with Vinoy Hotel, the bay, some classic sculptures of the park, a small pavilion with gorgeous, bright flowers at the back of the park, the huge Banyan trees, the lovely skyline of the city.
When in the area, I always enjoy walking in North Straub Park, taking photos of this lovely site.

We were staying at the Vinoy Hotel and got our "steps" in by walking along this park that borders the water. At night the restaurants and bars along the parallel street are hopping. Great fun.

This is a nice park for walking. Incredible views which are picturesque. However, they are currently doing construction in the area, so it is noisy and unpleasant.

The park website doesn't seem to be updated for events. The ones I saw were from 2016: may be going 10/7-10/10 with the fam. Anything fun happening that weekend? Movies in the park or more!
