We rented the surrey for an hour. Loads of fun! Highly recommended! My only suggestion would be for the staff to clean the storage pouch on the surrey, they were filled with trash and gross!!!

Billy's saved the day! Thank you! We were 2/3 over the causeway when I got a flat. We changed the tube and tire and then used up all of our CO2 trying to put pressure in it. My husband called Billy's to see if they had more CO2 or a pump for purchase and the very nice gentleman offered to drive to us with a track pump. It turned out that the replacement tube had a bad valve and we needed a new tube. So he put our bikes in the back of his truck and drove us to the Billy's bike rental on the Island. The mechanic in the shop sorted us out and we were able to replenish our tubes and CO2. This shop went above and beyond to help some stranded cyclists, possibly the best bike shop experience we've ever had (and we bike a lot)!

very unfriendly staff that offered everyone in two parties a take it or leave it attitude. Not very good equipment, unhelpful in making adjustments. This is not the company it was 10 years ago.

The bikes were decent but when I paid she told me to have them back by 4:55. When I looked at the tag the day to return it said 3:00 return time. When I checked my form they gave me it said 4:00. Very confusing, they need to have the return time consistent. Luckily I had checked the tags and got the deposit back.

To be fair, they are very customer friendly and seem to try to help.
Billy’s is more expensive than its competitors, and the bikes typically were much newer.
No more. We rented 7 speed bikes. After returning 6 bikes, I finally got one that shifted into 4 gears rather than 2 or 3. And the condition of the bikes was disappointing. Rusting away. These relics were paid for years ago. They said the bikes don't shift because they can't get parts. It seems that it is more that they aren't taking the time to adjust the bikes before re-renting them. It might be worth it to take a close look at their less expensive competition.

The bikes are in pretty decent condition but the guy helping us didn’t really help us. I am 5 foot nine and he tried to give me a very short bike. I asked him for a bigger frame bike and he rolled his eyes at me. Prices are good though

We have rented bikes here several times. When we pulled in someone came right out to help us. We had bikes and were on our way within about 10 minutes. The bikes themselves are not the best but are good enough for the level grade in this area. The prices are very reasonable.

Today I stopped by Billy’s to rent 12 bikes some with baby trailers and seats, including drop off and pick up fees for an upcoming family reunion trip. This would be approximately $1,200 in bike rentals. The woman working at the desk was reading a book without a customer in sight and said I must do the reservation on-line. I asked if I could just do it in person while I was there which would be easier for me. She was rude and said “no”. It will take me forever to do it on-line since their system is not very user friendly. Why not help a customer with a big order when you have time? I don’t get it.

We rented 3 bikes with them, they were wonderful, very patient with us. Ryan took care of every detail and answer every question we had.
Definetly we will rent our bikes in the future when we go on vacation agaon

We went in to get info about electric bikes. Full time Island residents with loyalty to local businesses when we can. Have not purchased new bikes from them, only repairs and occasional small bike replacement parts over 20 years. Sales associate was pleasant enough but very lackluster on discussing options, almost as though she couldn't be bothered and getting information was like pulling teeth. We have been researching for a while and felt like we knew more than the sales person did.... Perhaps she thought we couldn't afford the nearly 7K we're likely to spend when we decide on models. It is not likely we will purchase from this shop when we do decide. They instilled no confidence in us that they knew much about or could offer good followup/maintenance on electric bikes. Rentals are about all they do. Sales not so much. Meh. Headed to mainland. Billy used to be a huge presence in the store. Not so much recently.

I haven't ridden a bike in a while; do you have anything that might work along the lines of a "granny" style bicycle - nothing fancy - with regular handlebars and peddle brakes instead of hand breaks? Or even a trike type? The surrey looks cute but would it be hard to peddle it very far? I assume most of the island is pretty flat?? Thanks!
