Since it opened in 2014, The Mall at University Town Center in Sarasota, Florida, is the largest shopping mall in the state. Located at 140 University Town Center Drive, at I-75 and University Parkway, in Sarasota County, south of the Manatee County line, near the community of Lakewood Ranch, the enclosed, two-floor, 880,000-square-foot complex has more than 100 stores and 20 dining options. It is anchored by Macy's, Dillard's, Apple and Saks Fifth Avenue. In addition, is that isn't enough, UTC has two shopping centers located just east and west, District West with Target, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Best Buy and Dick's Sporting Goods and District East, which is currently under development with shops, hotels, housing, a movie theater and Nathan Benderson Park, site of the 2017 World Rowing Championships. Strolling through UTC, shoppers can also browse through Boss, Michael Kors, Ann Taylor, Chico's, Banana Republic, American Eagle, Tommy Bahama, Crate & Barrel, Talbots, H&M, Gap, Pottery Barn, Zales, Soma, Vera Bradley, Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, Kate Spade, Forever21, Johnston & Murphy, Kay Jewelers, Lily Pulitzer, Foot Locker and Victoria's Secret. Take a lunch and/or snack break at Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Kona Grill, Sophie's, Cheesecake Factory, Cinnabon, Brio Italian Grille, Cold Stone Creamery, Haagan-Daz, Pei Wei Asian Express or Le Macaron. Parking is ample and free. It's worth a one-day trip just to see it all.

We like this mall. However, on Saturday on Memorial day weekend we notice some concerning things. Numerous dogs. Also, several groups of teens roaming around and being obnoxious.. Boys of course. Running up and down the escalators. Some in groups of 6 or less gives the feeling of gang activity. This destroyed the other Sarasota mall and port Charlotte mall. Will do same thing here. Wake up security!

Wonderful food, great service!

Three of us visited for lunch yesterday. The bartender/server guy was so friendly, attentive and helpful. Sadly didn’t have my glasses on to get his name. The food came up quite quickly and presented well. My meal was the shrimp and aubergine which was piping hot and so delicious. Other meals were well received by my party. Value for money? Yes!
Only negative is the hostess as you enter. Despite the fact it was only just turned Monday and plenty of tables were available, she insisted we would have a 10 minute wait! We elected to eat at the table by the bar where we were attended to immediately.
We informed her of such and she was clearly annoyed with us. Her attitude was the same, we noted, with others who came in. Maybe the young lady would benefit from some re training in hospitality. A smile costs nothing.
Two of us were visitors from the UK. Overall though, we left looking forward to our next visit. We will go back!

UTC mall is a large one with a very good assortment of mid line stores and higher end stores and many low middle to higher end restaurants also very clean and well maintained

Festival of trees starting December 1st to December 19th will be a wonderful way to enjoy tge holidays with the entire family. The second floor will have many trees decorated by non profit groups and any funds collected will go directly to the group. These groups help make our community a better place to live in.This is the tree from Forget-me-not rescue.Thank you to the organizers.Go enjoy. The event is free.Wheelchairs fit comfortably into the roomy elevators.

Valet parking practically doubled in a couple of months - Terrible

The valet parking used to be $5 before the beginning of Covid. Then during Covid valet was raised to 7 dollars and as if today it is $9. Practically doubled to valet park. Ownership has a lot of nerves to raise their rates like this. This will hurt the valet parkers and their tips.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Currently our valet operation is running at $8 per use. Due to many economic factors, including the Florida Amendment 2 Minimum Wage increase that took effect in Nov. 2020, we needed to make some minor price increases to make sure we are compliant. Because we know this can be an inconvenience to some who no longer wish to use valet, we have adjusted the size of the valet lot to allow more additional free self-parking in that specific West Entrance parking zone. We thank you so much for your feedback.

Its a beautiful mall and lots of choice .

Glad to have the Freedom - personal choice so can walk around and in the shops without getting told to be ware a MASK .

Great things are a head . Respecting one another and uniting as Energy beings so that we can love ourselves and others.
