Great park with playground for all ages and walking trails. There is a large field area if you have a soccer ball or other fun outdoor games. There are picnic tables available everywhere and there is exercise equipment throughout the walking trail.

We walked around the park and then found the yellow primitive trail and walked around that loop trail. See photo for map of park. It was a nice hike. Most people were with kids on the playground equipment - so we pretty much had the trails to ourselves. Too bad there was graffiti by the observation deck and cans. You typically don’t see that in parks in the area.

We were taking a drive with our dog while Social Distancing during the pandemic and decided to stop at Urfer Family Park to give our dog a short walk. The placement of the picnic tables around the parking area allow for distancing. We took our dog for a walk on the board walk that winds above plants and finally dead ends at a T. It was very serene - you couldn’t see or hear anything from the parking lot while taking a walk on our the boardwalk.

This park is wonderful! Even on hot days, it is reasonably comfortable because the play areas are covered. I also like that it is separated into different age groups. There is a good amount of variety, sufficient seating for parents/grandparents and a safe place for kids to play.

Urfer packs a lot into a small park: pretty walking trails with exercise stations; three ponds filled with turtles, fish, birds and gators; a huge playground for the kids; and a boardwalk for birders.

This is a wonderful park, it has 3 different sections for different age groups of children, with the toddler area being fenced for safety. There are also walking paths and outdoor exercise equipment. There are pavilions with picnic tables that can be reserved and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Fuimos caminando porque quedaba cerca de nuestra casa, con los niños y pasamos una tarde espectacular, los chicos se divirtieron muchísimo e hicimos un picnic porque hay mesas, sillas para ello. Después una caminata alrededor del lago para oxigenarse!

This park offers a wonderful separated section for toddlers and older kids to play safely. Add party areas that are available with clean well maintained bathrooms and you have a wonderful party site for your child.
For the rest of us, there are wonderful walking paths that can also serve as bike paths for a lovely stroll or for that power exercise with strategic bars ready to pump you up. Carefully outlined parking and lighting makes this a safe and enjoyable family spot.

Perfect place to let the kids play, explore a huge playground and know that they are on toys that they can manage. My kids loved it from age 3-12. Always fun to see them play.

I discovered this park shortly after moving to the area. The grounds are well maintained and the restrooms and picnic pavilion have been clean every time I visit. The children’s activity areas have age appropriate equipment, and the fitness circuit on the two main paths is great for both able and disabled people. There are wilderness areas where I saw huge turtles and a red fox! I love taking my small dog for walks at this park because both of us get exercise. The fact that there is no charge to use this park is an asset to the community. People who use this facility really respect it and keep it nice.
