Great views, stunning scenery, a great couple hour walk. Lots to stop and look at. We did it in a clockwise loop-definitely hit the steeper side that way.

Excellent walk with amazing views. Definitely one direction is more difficult than the other - but a good sense of satisfaction and worth the effort to get to the top. Path easy to follow.

The initial walk to view the wallaby’s is easy and worthwhile. Come at dusk or dawn and you may see the white wallaby’s. The longer walk is through tight scrub that can cut you. Parks need to do some cut backs on the track.
Now after Three Capes and the like this walk is rather ordinary sure you get some bay views but they are not in my view that spectacular and the walk is really just a hard slog for little return.
IMO you would be better taking the boat tour and view the capes from the sea.

This trail is really two. Grassy Bay walk is a fairly gentle, easy walk leading to a small open area frequented by wallabies. Further on is a stone beach strait to another island. It's a good hour or so walk recommended to anyone.
Fluted Cape though is a different proposition. There are two paths to the summit. The first and closest to Adventure Bay is a long walk with steps created by the roots of the trees. The forest around you is moderately open and with little to see. It's hard, but probably the best option going up.
The second path is near the end of Grassy Bay and follows the magnificent cliff up. The path is steep and close to the edge. No children or unsteady walkers! This path is much more beautiful but it's hard work going down like we did, but likely even worse going up.
The view from the top is breathtaking though, you can see the Neck clearly, and if you take the boat cruise you're at the top of the cliffs you admire from 272m below. Just be really careful near the edge!
Overall a very good experience, but the relative dullness of the forest leg and the danger of the cliff leg lowers it slightly.

A beautiful walk but very steep. We did the Fluted Cape walk which took us up and up and up and finally reached Fluted Cape. Magnificent views from the top overlooking Adventure Bay and you can see the tour boats in a beautiful inlet down below. Walked back the Grass Point track which was a pretty walk right along the coastline to a beautiful beach below. Took us about 2 and a half hours with plenty of photo stops. A bit of fitness is required for this walk if you go the Fluted Cape trail but I think the Grass Point trail would be an easier walk going up.
All in all, a beautiful walk and highly recommend

A little steep and gruelling to make the climb to the top at 300m but definitely worth it for the views. Well marked track and be sure to do this walk clockwise if you’re going the loop route. One of the best views in Tassie so far from the top. Down hill much smoother and easier if you do it this way round. Highly recommended

If time is limited, or your fitness is, or you have small kids, you can do an out an back part of Fluted Cape that avoids the steep and dangerous sea cliffs.
The Grassy Point walk, along the edge of Adventure Bay, is flat, has lovely views back down the bay, there are wallabies in the undergrowth and birds and ferns, and at the end a little island and sea birds.
An easy 45 minutes for a nice, safe walk for everyone.
The walk is accessed at the far end of Adventure Bay, which is the standout spot if you’re only on Bruny for a day.
A short diversion off the main north south road takes you to the end of the bay, and some lovely safe swimming beaches.
There’s a small store here, or, at the end of the road a restaurant attached to the main building for the cruises.
Right next to this building you can walk on to the beach, and then down to the short, flat but spectacular walk to Grassy Point, or complete the tougher, and very steep circuit.

We did this walk on an intermittently drizzly day. It was still fantastic!
We recommend doing it clockwise for the best views. We saw echidnas on the trail.
It took us a bit under 2 hours all up with time to stop for photographs (we are in our late 20s).

Walked anti clockwise up the Flutes Track first. From carpark along beach to the start of the loop track, flat untill the turn off to the flutes. was a bit muddy but not a bad climb thru the foliage. Views to be had at the cliff face. Careful not to slip over the cliff as there is no barriers. If you walk further up the Flutes by 10m there is a great view towards Penguin Island.
Steep track down to Grass Point, be extra careful if you are not sure footed. Once at Grass Point look out for whales in the bay. Easy walk back to the carpark

Honestly aint that amazing as compared to the other walks you can do in other tasmania national parks- i mean u get to see the cliff but u also get to see cliffs at cape hauy🤷🏻♀️
