The entire service was incredible from start to finish! Communications went very smoothly, we were picked up at the airport and driven to Senaru where we met Syam, who is super friendly and gave us a briefing. A nice hotel was arranged for us and the next day they picked us up for the trek. Our guide, Ari, and our porters were amazing, so much fun and they made us feel at ease. We could decide our own pace the entire time and had lovely conversations. Also, the food they cooked was so good and varied (we got pasta, burgers, chicken curry, veggies etc). I already did the mount rinjani trek six years ago with another company, and I wish I had known about Syam trekking earlier because they are by far the best guiding company! I'd recommend it to everyone :)

My girlfriend and I chose the 3-day, 2-night trek, with the summit hike on the first night. Syam and his wife did an excellent job organizing everything. Their friendly driver picked us up in Kuta the day before, and upon arriving in Senaru, Syam gave us a briefing. He then took us to a hotel, where he returned the next morning with our guide and porters. Ari, our guide, was fantastic—friendly, helpful, funny, and regularly checked in on us during the hike. The porters were also friendly, professional, and took great care of us. We were served delicious traditional Indonesian meals, along with plenty of fruit at each stop. The sleeping bag was freshly washed, and the tent was spotless. Syam also provided us with two hiking poles. After the trek, the driver dropped us off at the port, where we enjoyed a private boat trip to Gili T, all included in the price. In summary, everything was perfectly arranged, and we were well taken care of. Compared to other Rinjani tour companies, Syam Trekker is a clear standout. We highly recommend climbing Mount Rinjani with Syam and Ari!

Very satisfied with Syam Trekker's tour. We had chosen 2 days 1 night to the summit. We were picked up from the port in Bangsal and driven to Syam's office for a briefing. After this we were taken to our accommodation for one night. That was a super nice place to sleep. In the morning we were picked up to start the tour. Our Guide Moon was very kind and has guided us well. The food during the tour was very tasty! The mats in the tent were also very pleasant to lie on. We slept very well. After the climb to the summit we had a nice breakfast. All in all a very nice organization.

Beyond any expectations! Actually, there are no words for how great our time up in the mountains has been!
Our guide Rahmin and porters Andi and Farizy went the extra mile to make these 3 days magical.
The driver picked us up in our hotel the day before the start. On arrival in Senaru, Syam was there to welcome us and gave us all the info we needed. After that, it was time to rest in the hotel just a few 100 meters further.
The next morning, the whole team was there to pick us up. We drove to the starting point in Sembalun and started our adventure.
Unlike others, our porters were so fast that we always had the best lunch and camping spots, out of the sun and covered from the wind, which was a big plus! We saw others having their lunch in +35 degrees without shade, tents without cover from the wind, destroyed toilet tents, …
Our guide gave us the option to start our summit push a bit earlier to make it before sunrise. Sadly, the wind was the big gamebreaker. We almost made it to the top, but with only a few hundred meters to go, there was no other option than turning back and hide behind the last big rock formation we passed. The wind made it too dangerous to continue. Nonetheless, we had a very nice view and enjoyed the sunrise!
After a much needed second breakfast (they also prepared one during the night when we woke up for the summit push), we changed our route and went for the Torean route because it would be too windy again to camp on the Senaru crater rim.
Maybe this route was a bit harder, but it was very beautiful and had a lot more cover for the wind.
We saw guides from other companies walking way too much before or after their groups, but Rahmin stayed with us all the time, despite our slow pace, and helped us where needed.
On arrival in Torean, the driver was already there to pick us up, which was again not the case for other groups from other companies.
Long story short. This adventure was not about reaching that summit. It’s about connecting with nature, meeting very nice, pure people. Rinjani is their passion and they love sharing it with you.
Make sure to do at least the 3 days tour. The 4 days tour is the same route, but gives you more time to rest and enjoy nature.
Yes, we highly recommend doing this tour with Syam Trekker. Yes, we will come back.

We were very warmly received by Syman and immediately an explanation about our trip. Continued we slept in a hotel close by and after breakfast we were picked up at 6.30am by our Guide and porters and the trip could start! From the beginning to the end we enjoyed and were impressed by the service and friendliness. They provided us with everything well and we would recommend everyone to climb the Rinjani with Syam tractor! Incredibly beautiful!

We did in September 24 the 3 days 2 nights trip with Syam tractor to the top of Rinjani.
The organization is definitely recommended. We received delicious and sufficient food and drinks and decent sleeping material (which is not the case with all tours). This makes it worth its extra cost.
The small groups and the patient Guide Ramin ensured that you could reach the summit at your own pace.

In September 24 we made the 3 days / 2 nights trip to the summit and to the lake with Syam tractor. The organization was excellent! We got delicious and ample food and drink and decent sleeping material. The quality is worth its extra cost!
The Guide Ramin, was very patient and made sure we reached the top at our pace.

Would recommend Syam and his full team 100%. We had an amazing experience doing the 2d1n trek at Rinjani. It was very challenging but satisfying. The guides and porters make sure you have enough (really yummy) food and drinks and prepare everything to make the trip as easy as possible! Special thanks to Dean (Rinjani_tourguide) for everything 🙏

Very friendly and helpful people!
We were with 1 Guide and 3 porters on the way, and a total of 4 friends.
Plenty of explanation and guidance during the tour, rest breaks with snack and lunch moments.
Highly recommended! 👍👍
