An absolutely amazing experience. The environment and staff made me feel nothing but comfortable and safe. Derek and Bob were fantastic. They kept the energy high and the nerves low. 10/10 experience, would 100% recommend them to anyone, and would 10000% do it again!!

This was my first tandem jump! It was amazing!!! I jumped with Dereck. He was professional kind and made me feel very safe. Floating down was surreal. I opted to have the video of my jump and Bob did an excellent job.

My tandem jump with Kramer was amazing he made me feel safe ( as I could be jumping from a plane😜) the entire time. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. I got to jump with my son who also loved every minute of it. He wants to learn to jump solo. We will definitely be back!

Great experience, exciting, amazing!! Nate was excellent, fun, cool, professional, everything one expects on a trainer in that type of activity. Place is well kept, clean, relaxing. Crew is very professional, they explain everything completely. Timing appointments. I will do it again with a group of friends/family. THANK YOU!!

Phenomenal experience! The staff and care are awesome with a very laid back waiting area for pre-jump and spectators. We saw close to a hundred jumpers the day we went, all successful! Tandem Dude Richard is an absolute professional. All smiles from my family. All 1st time jumpers. Get the Video package!

Rich, Andy and Derek were Awesome and made my daughters 18th birthday memorable. They lighten the mood with humor and we’re professional at the same time. Highly recommend Sky Dive City. We’ll definitely be back 👍

Everything about Skydive City is EXACTLY what & WHO you’re looking for in a jump!! The entire team makes you feel at ease when you get there. They take you through all steps AND remind you to enjoy! You can relax in hammocks or have a quick bite or juice if you want after:) You will go & be ready to go back as soon as your feet touch the ground 🪂🤙🏼

For a one-time tandem jump, go somewhere else, anywhere else.
I recently booked two tandem jumps from 13,500 feet at Skydive City for 1 PM (there is a jump available from a lower altitude that is less expensive but we wanted as much freefall as possible). Both the website and the paperwork that you fill out do indicate that jumpers should plan on spending half a day at the jump zone and that there can be weather delays. All good – I figured we would be up by 3 PM, maybe 4 PM at the latest which would keep us clear of the storms that typically roll in on a late summer afternoon in Florida.
At the orientation / paperwork session, we were told that they were already running behind (apparently, this happens on a regular basis as later in the day I met a tandem jumper who said his original jump was scheduled on a prior day, but they fell too far behind so he had to come back a second day). We completed the paperwork and checked in; we were told to wait on the deck until our name was called. So we waited, and waited, and waited…flight after flight went up with no tandem jumpers, just individual jumpers. We struck up a conversation with one of the regulars; he jumped three times while we were waiting and was gone by 5 PM or so.
We finally got into the harness a bit before 6 PM by which time the clouds were starting to roll in; our flight took off with no indication that we would do anything but jump from our designated height. Fifteen minutes or so into the flight and the pilot radios back saying that the cloud cover means we can only jump from slightly below 9,000 feet. We were not given the opportunity to wait it out or return to ground and wait for a break in the weather. If you’ve ever skydived, you know the difference between a jump from 9,000 feet and a jump from 13,500 feet; the chute is pulled at around 5,000 feet so our freefall time was cut in half.
After our jump, I mentioned to the gentleman who did the orientation that I wasn’t happy about jumping from less than 9,000 feet (I couldn’t talk to anyone in the office as it was closed). He blew me off, saying the pilot decided to take off and said “If I buy you a beer, will that make you feel better?” He didn’t offer to refund the difference between the cost of the lower altitude jump and the 13,500 jump for which I had paid.
I get that the contract stipulates all kinds of stuff and that I have no recourse; the only thing I can do is post this review. What really torques me is that at the end of the day, they were slamming through the tandem jumpers, with instructors going on consecutive flights trying to get all the tandems completed. So they have the ability to get the tandem jumpers in the air, they simply choose not to do so.
It should be noted that I have jumped at Skydive City several times in the past and it has never been like this; they are not in the least bit concerned about getting their one-time tandem jumpers in the air but it wasn’t always this way. Used to be, you’d spend a couple of hours on the ground before getting your turn to jump, but it was never five hours after your appointment. The focus now at Skydive City is on the repeat jumpers and, believe me, I understand the concept: recurring revenue is the name of the game.
I understand that this not-so-positive review will have no impact on the business model at Skydive City; the hope is that some first-time, one-time jumpers will read this review and be spared the negative experience we had. Like I said at the beginning of this review, go somewhere else, anywhere else: go to Lakeland Linder or Skydive Sarasota or Lake Wales or Plant City; go hang gliding in Orlando or Clewiston – just go somewhere that runs their business like a business, gives customers what they paid for and gets one-time tandem jumpers in the air in a reasonable time frame.

Looking to jump in April/May . . . what's the best time of day to register so we're least likely to get "Winded Out?" We missed our jump last year due to high winds the afternoon of our jump and then again the next morning :(

it is very hard to predict what the weather in the winds are going to do. I highly recommend that you contact Skydive city's manifest. whether you are a fun jumper or a tandem they will be able to help you

Sorry no, our insurance doesn't allow people to ride on the airplane unless you are wearing a parachute and planning to make a jump

You also have to be 18 years old and less than 220 lbs and in reasonably good shape to jump.
