The advertisement for Fosters needs to indicate it is closed & there are No Trespassing signs posted. It is out of the way & was disappointing to reach our destination only to find an abandoned building.

Fosters Mill Store has new owners as of August 20, 2018. It is currently closed due to renovations and a new business plan being implemented! It has been our dream since childhood to own this little gem in our community! We are hoping to open in the summer of 2019. If traveling from long distances we will be glad to show you around as we only live 3 miles away from the location, just call Angela Kerce 706-844-6736. Thanks!!!

Don't bother...we did...took 1.5 hours to get there and see a closed abandoned location.

I love visiting this country store that has been around for years. The floor always has had a slope but that is just unique to the store. They have the old coke boxes and you can still buy cokes in the glass bottles. This is a great historic store that did suffer a fire back around 2000 but thanks to the community it has been saved.

The previous owners (2 women) put in a beautiful grill/kitchen for breakfast and lunch. They refused to be open on Sundays even though next to a large church. Current owner has roots to original place. He decided to make it a steak & B-B-Q place even though it has counter space for 4 and 2 small booths. He started remodling months ago and no completion in sight. BBQ and burgers may be good but a steak atmosphere is 100% better in near by Cave Spring. When it does open, not much to see.

We saw this advertised and made a point of stopping by on our way out of town our last day. We were expecting a cute country store possible with local baked goods, canned goods, grains & cloth/linen items (as is suggested by the name "mill store"). What we found was a very old, small building that used to be a gas station and is now a local lunch counter. There was one large table in the center of the room and a few seats at the counter. There was practically nothing for sale on the shelves...no pancake mixes, cider, jellies, homemade salsas, etc. as is often found in a country "mill store". We stayed about 2 minutes which was all it took to see that there was nothing here of interest. We had recently had a late breakfast so we weren't interested in eating and didn't try any food, so we can't speak for that. Definitely not something worth going out of your way for.

It's only a grill; the "authentic" part of it was shelves around the walls with old items on them. We were going to have lunch, but asked about a restroom first. The waitress yelled out, "Do you just have to pee? You can use the one behind the kitchen." We left.

This place is pretty much out in the middle of nothing between Cave Spring and Coosa but well worth the stop. This place is extremely old and is just plain cool to go into and see. The sandwichs they make a fresh and taste great!
