The staff is really nice and accommodating. The facilities are great for a local, smaller chain. Sound and picture quality is good. Love this place.

I lost my wallet while watching a movie at Movie Tavern. Called them later and talked to Wylie who was very helpful in confirming that they had found it. I am so very grateful to the staff member who found it and turned it in. I wish I knew their name. I really appreciate it!

It was an amazing experience the food was amazing the alcoholic drinks were omg so good and the customer service was excellent they really mad me and my family feel welcome the theater itself was clean and comfortable the temperature was great. Aaliyah took our order with food very helpful and she waited patiently while we took our time she also told us about the menu and what we can get as a meal. Lauren helped us check in with our tickets made us feel very comfortable and gave us tips on certain movie deals. Adi the bartender omg she was amazing her drinks were incredible definitely coming back. And Brendan the manager that was there very helpful and made sure we were good I wish I had a million dollars I would have left all of them big tips.

I love the Movie Tavern (Marcus Theaters) because it is the most comfortable place to watch the big screen. Their recliner seats are the best! Other places like AMC try to compete, but I have arthritis really bad and my neck can't be bent forward, even slightly, without cramping up, so the recliners at the AMC hurt me physically (the tops of their recliners are puffed out). There is nothing like watching a movie on the big screen, reclined back a degree or two (2), with a really great sound system, sipping wine and eating appetizers, buttery popcorn or a mouth-watering burger at the Movie Tavern in Roswell, GA (and yes, their food is good). A great Saturday night date with my husband!
The only improvement I would make to the experience, is they used to have service throughout the movie pre-pandemic, so you could order seconds without leaving your seat. I wish they would return to the full service they used to provide, but it's still the best date night for a young couple's first date, a night out with friends, or a date night with the older, less energetic couples, including geriatric couples such as I and my husband of 37(+) years.
So I would suggest going to a Marcus theater near you. You just can't beat the experience.

We have been going to the Movie Tavern since it opened in Roswell, and it has spoiled us. We don't want to go to the movies anywhere else. The food is always amazing and we love the entire experience! Highly recommend!

I think the detriment of having a dinner theater is how they talk too much early into the show. Taking orders / delivering orders and they keep the lights on too long. (We were there for a special event with no previews, so maybe it was worse than normal?) We also had to ask for them to turn up the show because we could hardly hear it. It would be nice if someone could monitor for that. But bonus since there are call buttons we didn't have to leave the theater to find someone to ask. But otherwise, decent seats.

We love the Movie Taverns. I think Marcus is attempting to improve on them but they were pretty good already. Just hope he does not screw them up. I have noticed some price increases with tix and food so I am concerned.

They have one of the dumbest policies with a new bag/purse policy.
My purse was measured, and I was made to feel like a criminal for bringing in a purse to a movie. I was told I could put it in my car. My purse holds my wallet, keys, and my daughter inhaler along with some personal items. I visited movie tavern with my 10 year old daughter to watch a Disney movie, and we were planning on having dinner there .
So did they really think I would leave my purse in the car? I told them that they could search it ----if that was the issue. And it’s not a large purse. What exactly is the purpose ? Is the food really that bad that people sneak in dinner????
They should start putting in some security plans for the parking lot since it’s a prime target to steal women’s purses now - to those who choose to stay.
Several women that I did not even know turned around, went to their cars and took their money to another theater. Will NEVER go back. Be transparent and put the bag policy where you buy the tickets.

I bring my family here every time I come to visit . It has always been very good. Today, Columbus Day, the food and service were terrible. I ordered the Grilled cheese/Bacon with Tomato soup. The waiter came back and said they didn’t have any grilled cheese. Seriously? I ordered the quesadilla with shrimp. My grandson ordered the Mac and cheese with a fruit cup. One hour later, we still had no food. When the food arrived, it was cold. The fruit cup contained only grapes and some were rotten. I complained to our server who merely said they were short handed. That is not a good excuse.,I had to pay full price for food that was not edible, in my opinion.
I won’t be ordering food there ever again.
The movie , The Adams Family , was good and the new comfortable, reclining chairs are wonderful.

My wife and I heard good things about the Movie Tavern do we wanted to try it. Got tickets on line, no problem. The seats I picked were back row and the covering of the seats was a mess. Some of the covering was missing and didn’t look good at all. Our server was good and we got our food pretty fast. We loved the fully reclining seats, very comfortable. The price of food was rather high and we didn’t think the food we ordered was worth the price or as good as we would have liked. I had the veggie pizza and my wife the Jamaican Jerked wings. I think that what they were. If I ever go back I would eat at a restaurant before going to the movie. To be honest, I won’t go back.

What kind of popcorn oil or flavoring is used here?

My understanding is it is called "Odells' Real Butter." This is a clarified butter that has the water and milk liquids removed. I don't know what kind of oil they use to pop in.
