It is lovely to see such a selection of precious old gems. A blast of nostalgia is just what the doctor ordered. There are some superb examples of very rare cars in pristine condition and this can be said for all the exhibits. I wouldn't fancy the job of polishing everything but whoever does it, does a fantastic job. There is something to appeal to all enthusiasts, motoring, biking, cycling, pedal cars, signs and memorabilia. I did notice that one or two of these precious vehicles are actually touching each other, which could potentially cause damage. They only need to be moved slightly to avoid this and that could be easily done without affecting the walking space. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

The displays of cars and vehicles were amazing!The cars were so well polished and shiny. The whole family really enjoyed the visit.The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend to anyone to come😁

The weather forecast was for rain, so we opted for indoor entertainment. The museum is really well maintained. You follow a one-way system around; thankfully it wasn't too busy as I suspect this could hold you up. But equally, it was a good way of making sure you didn't miss anything.
Many cars throughout the ages & lots of extra little bits to entertain.
Honestly think the entrance cost is a little expensive though.

Very enjoyable visit to this museum.
Dozens and dozens of interesting cars and other exhibits.
Helpful owners allowed us to leave to have lunch next door and re-enter for a last quick walk around after lunch.

brilliant place, welcoming by the staff in the shop, paid 2 x adults £22 + £2 for guide book ... he explained everything and was very chatty n helpful.....it is as he told us a tarsus inside and the vehicles and info was amazing , the campbell /bluebird display was fantastic , history and sadness , but well worth the visit
we had a coffee and cake after a visit too the shop and sat y the river... all in all a couple of hours well spent

We had a great trip here, there was loads to see from old cars to old signs and tools, it was like going back in time and really interesting. A personal favourite was the 1966 amphicar which they showed a video of.
We were given a quiz to do which was interesting for my niece and there were loads of photo opportunities. Also included in the price was entry to the Donald Campbell Bluebird exhibition which was fascinating.
I would definitely recommend a trip here if you get the opportunity.

Small place packed with great exhibits. Really enjoyed the cars , bikes , bicycles and even the racing game models they used to play back then. Good on a rainy day and otherwise.

Great attraction for a rainy day. We visited in August 2023, with entry pice £11.00 for adults. Plenty of historical cars and motorbikes. Aldo a separate attraction dedicated to Donald Campbell (plus father Malcolm) with full size replicas of the Bluebird cars and boats that achieved the speed records.

Took one of our grandsons on a day out to the museum, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We had to stop him from racing round answering the questions on the free quiz trail booklet which was well thought out and just pitched right - not too hard, not too easy. He received his pencil and certificate prize at the end and was happy to go away to check the answers on the internet. We didn't go in the cafe but assume it is the same high standard of other Ambio cafes that we have been in. Lots of great exhibits and all in great condition, information on each very interesting without overwhelming. We loved the old games machines upstairs, take lots of 20p's for a visit. Husband was surprised not to find a Reliant amongst the exhibits, we have happy memories of ours from the early days of marriage. There is a well stocked gift shop, maybe some things a bit pricey but then you're not forced to buy. Overall well worth a visit.

A really great museum. Looks small from the outside but packed with interesting cars, bikes, motorbikes and even shop window displays. Added bonus of a Campbell and Bluebird exhibition. A really excellent museum.

How much time should we allow for our visit here?

It depends how much you like cars and bikes. If you're really interested you can easily spend the whole morning or afternoon. Otherwise I would say an hour to one & a half hours. There is a really good cafe there so slow extra time if you want food and /or a drink.

Hello- many thanks for your enquiry. As most of our exhibits need to be preserved, we don't allow people to sit in or on them. However if there is something you're specifically interested in engaging with, please contact us in advance or speak to our staff on the day and we'll see how we can offer assistance. There is a 1930s dodgem car on the ground floor and a static pedal car on the first floor viewing gallery children are allowed to sit in. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the question. We receive a lot of visiting children, both families and schools who enjoy the Museum. We offer a free children's quiz which is well suited to this age range - children receive a medal for doing the best at the quiz, which follows the route around the Museum.
