I have been here a couple of times for photographic days and enjoyed them but decided to come on a walk in basis. I would like to see more places that take such a pride in the cleanliness of their cafe. No shrinking cakes here and coffee from a push button machine which is becoming the fashion. Good barrister coffee and large tasty muffins with a good selection of snacks. The prices are very reasonable too. There is a small gift shop with a used goods area where I found a couple of, again, reasonably priced items. There is an interesting collection of birds from around the world which are in cages that cannot be photographed because of the bars but some are on display on perches. The flying displays are what you come for though. We saw a selection of owls, kestrel, harris hawk, buzzard and bateleur eagle over two sessions. The arena is open to the countryside so you have a chance of getting a photo with a natural background. Each lasted around an hour. The staff are ver knowledgable and gave information that I have never heard before. They obviously care about their work rescuing these birds and were very willing to answering any questions. In all a great November day out.

An amazing place and wonderful people, highly knowledgable but keeping it light hearted and fun for all. We took our Autisic son whom turned 18 and they kindly arranged for him to hold one of the baby owls to have a photo, it absolutly made his day. Thank you for your kindness and the work that you do. They have a lovely cafe and also bought an amazing birdbox or the Tardis made by one of the workers at the centre, it will be taking pride of place in our sons sensory garden area. Perfect.

Absolute fantastic day out. Booked meet the birds for my mum and two kids. They held five different birds and got to fly two more. The lady doing the experience was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. We followed this with afternoon tea in the cafe and also brought a panini and sausage roll. All fresh and delicious. Highly recommend

Came here we had some Visit Britain vouchers was a lovely afternoon out great variety of birds and owls and loved seeing the meerkats. The staff were knowledgeable during the talks and loved the flying display. Shop and cafe reasonable priced.

We had a great meet the birds experience - Paul was extremely knowledgeable and we were able to handle a number of different birds, as well as take part in the flying display. Would highly recommend.

Went with our friends to stay on the caravan site at The Raptor Foundation. The weather had been atrocious during the previous week and the site was waterlogged, however Liz managed to find a pitch for us and Carol made sure everything was OK when we arrived.
This is a fantastic place for families, friends ot just people who love birds. The staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful and really look after you. Watching a "meet and greet", and a flying display is a must and the restaurant is lovely with good food and very nice staff.
Well worth the very reasonable entrance fee.

Great value for money! The meet the birds and flying shows were super interesting and entertaining, Elliot is a fantastic presenter. We ended up spending most of the day there, and will visit again.

I booked my daughter on a the “Meet the Birds” experience, and what a truely amazing experience it was!
I was expecting we would be part of a group but it turned out to be a one on one experience which seems like incredible value for money.
She had over an hour guided around the park getting to hold so many different birds. The member of staff guiding us was extremely knowledgeable and great with my daughter.
Then after a short break and cup of tea and cake she got to take part in the flying and feeding show, holding out food for the birds to land on her and eat.
An absolutely perfect day and core memories made

Having visited last summer 2021 and had a great time We bought a small bird experience for our 9yr old grandson for his birthday as he is an avid fan of all types of birds.
We were met by Matt who proceeded to bring out three different birds for our grandson to hold, Matt was a fountain of knowledge and very engaging our grandson couldn’t stop smiling so we knew he was enjoying the experience.
When it came to the flying display Elliott was the person talking about the various bird and we certainly learnt a lot in a short space of time.
Our grandson again had the opportunity to receive quite large birds onto his arm and he was delighted with it all
Matt and Elliott were both great and the whole experience was fun and educational.
I would definitely recommend The Raptor Foundation for both children and adults, the chance to see some of these spectacular birds flying is an experience everyone should have.
Thanks so much for the enjoyment they both gave to a happy little boy… many stories to be told when he’s back at school.
