My two days hiking with Martin in the Peak District were superb. Beautiful weather and good company . Martin is a very experienced professional and knowledgable mountain guide.
I would highly recommend Martin as a mountain leader.

If you are into seeing the great outdoors I would recommend using the hillwalker you get a guided route so you do not get lost and have time to take in the scenery as well. The day itself is rewarding and for the price this is a bargain I would use the hillwalker again.

My son and I had a fabulous day with Martin (The Hillwalker) hiking up Scafell Pike in the beautiful Lake District. Martin was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area and terrain. We felt very safe and comfortable with him and had a really enjoyable day. We would highly recommend Martin and we are already planning our next trip up Snowdon with him.

We wanted the comfort of knowledge and experience up in the Cairngorm mountain range for a winter visit and decided to employ services from The Hillwalker.
We found Martin, The Hillwalker, to be a great down to earth, interesting bloke who is as easy to get along with as he is knowledgeable about his practicing in the hills and mountains.
We are by no means beginners when it comes to hill or mountain climbing but felt we needed support from a qualified and highly experienced outdoorsman to take us into the winter Cairngorm mountain range. When arranging our trip we had a couple of detailed calls with Martin for him to assess what our capabilities were and what we wanted to get out of the weekend. Martin could then prepare and cater for what we aimed to accomplish over the weekend.
We found him to be super knowledgeable about the local area, picked up techniques on map reading, compass/navigation work and generally how to be safe on the mountain. His company gave us the confidence to achieve more than we would without him being there.
I highly recommend The Hillwalker's services for any level of experience you may have. I recommended to some colleagues of mine, who are very much beginners in the hill walking world, who used The Hillwalker for a 4 hour walk in the southern Lake District where they found him to be knowledgeable, professional and experienced.
Brilliant and will definitely book with again.

I've just returned from a walk to the summit of Snowdon with the hillwalker and I had an amazing day!! He's a really nice chap and his knowledge about the walk your doing is second to none! Witch helped take my mind of the walk ahead as I'm not the fittest person. Would just like to say thank you for getting me there!!!

Went for a days walking around the hills near Coniston with Martin Lewis (the Hillwalker) it was a very enjoyable day with a very good guide with great knowledge of the local area.Some stunning views from the two peaks that we climbed defo take a camera then at the end of the walk heading into Coniston town for a couple of beers.Great time highly recommend it too anyone who likes walking.

Whilst on a short break to the Keswick area I joined a small group of walkers along with The Hillwalker. A great days walking with a professional and very knowledgable guide. Would highly recommend.
