Visited for a couples day trying out different climbing experiences beyond bouldering and loved it.
Tom did a great job of showing us the ropes on the autobelay climbing wall and on the manual climbing wall. We felt safe throughout on walls that were far higher than what we were used to and he gave us some great pointers to help us progress through the climbing tiers.
We'll definitely be popping back soon!

Brilliant facility. Lots of auto belay, top rope, sport climbing routes as well as challenging bouldering. So something for everyone. Cafe seating area could do with being larger. Had to hang around for 20mins to get a seat. Also bit slow in the kitchen and not a great variety. More of a coffee n snack place. The blackberry and lemon drizzle and blackberry crumble slices were hands down some of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Worth stopping by just for those. We were going to order food but, some inconsiderate climber kept braking wind and stinking the cafe area out. Nothing The Boardroom could do about that, not their fault. But had to mention it because it ruined our visit.

After wanting to try climbing and bouldering for a while, i came here over the weekend with my niece (12) on a family taster session. Our wonderful instructor was Grace as she did an amazing job, very friendly and professional and helped us have a great experience. Grace was very knowledgeable and a great instructor for us - we can't wait to return! Thank you to the rest of the team there also, great atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.

Really fun place, hands may start hurting a bit but overall still fun, the instructors are good and motivate you to do your best and the rope is really strong and it can keep you up.

I’ve wanted to try climbing and bouldering for some time now and living a 30 minute drive away from this place i thought this would be the right place to start.
This place is amazing, we booked on family taster session and are instructor was ALEX and he was great very knowledgeable about all the different aspects of the gym very encouraging to want to see you try something a little bit harder each time you finish a route either on the top rope walls or the bouldering walls. On our taster session we got to Boulder, autobelay, and also top rope the whole thing lasted a hour and all for the price of £15 each is an absolute bargain. Im definitely returning to do the bouldering safety course so I can go and Boulder when I want and also the top rope safety course so I can take friends to climb to. Trust me when I say if you’ve thought about coming here then do it book yourself on a taster session you won’t be disappointed.

We took our son to one of the Funky Gibbon sessions and he loved it. Nat was very encouraging and helpful. We will be going again!!

I wouldn't say it was too far a stretch to say discovering this place changed my life, I have always loved trying new sports and the outdoors however I was unaware that the climbing community was as big and welcoming as it is! No place encapsulates this more than The Boardroom, since my first session over two years ago I have been every chance I get since and it has inspired me to enter the climbing world as a career aspiration.
The staff are really helpful and friendly, the route setters always find a way to challenge you to improve and the food is to die for :)
I have brought so many friends to this gym and will continue into the future

This climbing gym beats any around. I have bouldered for a couple of years now, living in Chester, then Shropshire and now Surrey I have tried many places. This climbing wall is the best I have been to. They re-route both upstairs and downstairs roughly every 4 weeks, meaning there is always new problems to try. They also have a small gym area to strengthen up after. The cafe is amazing and very well priced.

It's a great centre, however it would be heaps better if the staff actually the business itself looked after the toilet areas. I've visited a few times and the tap water doesn't seem to run, not just that but when you actually flush the loo it doesn't work!

Hi Thirskl,
We are aware of the problems. There was a burst mains water pipe which greatly effected our water. We will be refitting out the bathrooms over the coming months to improve them and introducing rainwater tanks to flush the toilets. This will help when our water pressure drops.
Unfortunately these things can’t happen overnight but please be assured we are working on it.

The Boardroom is fantastic! Loads of bouldering and climbing problems in a superb atmosphere. Very friendly, professional staff. Good cafe and facilities.
