I've stopped into the Nature Center at all different times of the day and year. I've always returned home with a smile and gratitude I visited!

The center focuses on children's activities inside; but outside is an aviary with raptors that have been injured or cannot survive in the wild. The keepers are very knowledgeable and happy to share information about individual birds or entire species. There is also a walking trail that looked inviting but it was cold and snowing so I didn't take it that day.

When you feel like the hustle and bustle of urban/suburban life is getting you down, go to the Itasca Nature Center for instant relief. Take a walk through a bit of forest, stroll along the Salt Creek, or enjoy sometime in an authentic Illinois prairie. Great place for a nature hike with the kids. I take my grandchildren there often. You can even find a few Pokémon hiding here and there. They even have a sledding hill for winter fun.

The nature center is a great place We have seen deer, beavers and birds. It's quiet and peaceful. It's nice for families and couples.

The Itasca Nature Center is great for a solo walk, a walk with your favorite companion or the whole family. Always fun stuff to do. We have been there too many times to count. especially when our children were younger. You can walk there, take oyur bike or drive there. Your choice.

We hike these trails & enjoy this Nature center at least twice a week. Most of the locals do not know it exists! Private trails take you through wooded areas, over a creek & up a hill where you can view the entire area! We really enjoy it! BOOM!

I love this park and how it captures the natural prairie grassland that is native to this area. The trails are perfect for hiking and numerous bird watching opportunities as well!

I have lived in Itasca for 40 years, but I never heard Springbrook Nature Center referred to by that name.
