The place its self is amazing in my opinion but the prices are outrageous. You have to pay 13 dollars to get in even if you aren't riding any of the rides. You should come here if you have alot of money.

My wife and I met friends at Eckert's in Millstadt mid-afternoon on a cool October day; all were Filipino wives with American husbands, and were new to this American tradition. So it was fun to share it with them. It's a great place to bring kids, there's lots of things for them to do and see, and I kept trying to view it through 8-year-old vision. So it would come across as a very fun place for sure. And plan to spend some time here, we didn't stay into the evening for hayrides or bonding around a firepit, although that's available. It was very busy on our late afternoon, so a ride on the farm wagon to pick apples took a while to board. And, much of the crop had been harvested already by the time we started walking the rows. Still, we collected quite a few in our bag. All told...it was an expensive couple of hours. $13 per head to walk in, then picked apples by the pound, our bag was $16. I made a couple of pies with my $42 apples, I guess that's ok. For grown ups...bring some kids and enjoy.

A bit of a rip-off. $52 for 2 adults and 2 kids (8 & 10), so everyone is priced the same $13 admission. Maybe we just picked the wrong day, but there were about 15 or more school busses in the lot and a couple hundred school kids running around which clogged up nearly every activity spot in the park. The corn maze was fine- we managed to make it in before the grade schoolers and kindergarteners discovered it. Pumpkin cannon was enjoyable and the guy running the show was funny. The pig races killed 12.5 minutes and were ok. Kids were ready to go after an hour. Oh yeah, and with the $13 each admission they had run out of maps of the attractions but allowed us to take a photo of their last remaining map. Anyway, I recall when growing up around here Eckert's was just a family orchard now it's a very different enterprise.

The admission price was steep but we decided to try it anyway. What I found utterly shocking is that there is not a single water fountain in the place. Seriously not one! I went around and asked too! How are people suppose to refill water bottles. Complete and total rip of and has got to be against a law some where.

This place was a ways from where i live in St.Charles MO, but boy was it fun! We started with taking the wagon to the apple field. Then once we made it back to the farm we started with rides that were included with our ticket purchase. They also have animals that you can feed for .50 Cent so take some quarters. Then later once it got dark they had a haunted hay ride which was a fun ending . Great place to spend a day with the family.

I helped chaperone a field trip to Eckerts Millstadt with my son‘s second grade class today. First off, they only have port-a-potties, no indoor toilets. Next, the price is way too much for what you get. We were on a field trip, so we got a break on the admission fee, but normally it’s around $13 per person to get in! The price includes some of the shows and rides. However, if you pick apples or pumpkins, you have to pay for them as well. They also have food and drinks you can buy, and it costs money to feed or ride any of the animals. Finally, many of the staff were less than friendly or helpful. One staff member got mad at a group of 7-year-olds because they didn’t return the tractor bikes to the exact right place in the track. I explained to him the boys were putting the bikes back where they got them, he began complaining about “all these kids” and “the teachers” who let them do whatever they want. He complained that he was trying to make sure everyone was safe between two different exhibits. If this is the case, it seems they’re understaffed as well. This is only one example of the unfriendly/unhelpful staff. There are at least 2 more from today.
My recommendation is to avoid this location at all costs, and travel a bit farther to the Belleville location. We have been going to the Belleville location for years, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Plus, Belleville does not charge a $13 admittance fee to go and pick apples!!!

We went on a scout appreciation day, it included free entry for any cub scout in uniform or girl scout, or their den leaders in uniform. We paid $26 for two adults $13 each) to enter and our daughter (cub scout) was free. Parking was easy and onsite, and free. There were 7-8 kids carnival rides, all free (no extra costs). There were camel and pony rides too, both $6 each. We enjoyed the piglet races! super cute, our daughter won a piggy key chain as her color pig won the race. There was also pumpkin chunkin, she also was picked to load the pupmkin cannon, it shoots pretty darn far!! There was a petting zoo that had donkey's cows, a kangaroo, lamas. There was an area near the steep in hill tube slide where you could feed tons of goats. We rode a tractor to the orchard and picked some Johnny, Red and Gold delicious apples. Not sure what the weight was but it cost us $22 dollars for those apples! I feel we could of bought two large bags at a grocery store for half that price though.
There were funnel cakes, and some other apple oriented store items about. There was also some "scary" walk through house thingy, not scary to me, but scared my 8 year old. The corn maze was super long, and amazing! But there was a catch, they are short staffed, so there is no one to be in the tower to help you find your way out and no map. Take a pic with your phone of the map on the board before you go in.
We went on a super hot day, very little shade, take umbrellas and spritzers with you.

I took my 3children there Friday. Was shocked that they wanted $13 per person. Including my 2 year old. There was nothing open. Tractor ride was 45 feet. Water $2 a bottle. They are gouging people. We can’t afford this. Plus the price of picking apples. The young generation of the Eckerts have turned greedy. Btw. There was 40 in our group. We decided that this is the last year. We come from Missouri

This is our second year making the 2 hour drive from our home to this area. Neither year has disappointed us yet!
My kids are 10 and 6 years old and they've had a blast both years.
A lot of kid friendly activities including carnival rides, corn maze, bounce pillow (which is the kids favorite), tractor rides, playground, live shows etc etc etc.
The lines both years we've been there have been minimal. If you have children and a free day, make the trip. It won't disappoint you!
