There is a permanent book sale in the "nook," but there are also larger sales on the second weekend of every month. They offer a combination of withdrawn and donated books and the prices are fair.
Two years ago they installed heated sidewalks at the handicap parking spaces for winter safety.
The staff is friendly and helpful.

My wife and I have found this to be one of the best public libraries we have ever used. The staff is so helpful and friendly and they go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for or are willing to order it for you. If you live in Fremont Township, you should sue this outstanding library!

FPL is a community venue demonstrating some of the best resources in Mundelein.

I've come to appreciate this local resource more & more. Beyond the expected collection of older & modern released books, movies, audio CD's, and reference materials, this Library provides some of the best environments to read and relax. Community events are hosted often with scheduled programs available for multiple ages. You should also take the time to view some of the historical displays, such as the Lake County quilt at the top of the staircase. Their hours are in line with other Libraries in the area and the facility is always well kept.

Fremont's adult programs are the best. I have learned so much. Although I like the lectures with facts and photos, I love the history re-enactors.

This is not my local library, so I go here for the used book sales, which are frequent and have pretty good selection. Whenever they have a book sale, the local model railroad club sets of extensive train display - good for the kids
