Good selection of seafood, burgers, salads. The spicy gumbo was filled with chicken, rice, and vegetables. They have a nice choice of oysters, and when in season a wide selection of soft shell crab dishes. Terrific service too

It was my second time there. And fantastic again! Delicious Lobster with sweet corn and butter. Ill be there again as soon as I can!

My oldest sister suggested this place since it is within a short walk from her condo..
They have a decent beer selection and the food is pretty typical bar and grill fare not bad at least in our experiences.
The kitchen was pretty prompt the service was good and they were attentive. .
Yep I would certainly return.

By chance we stopped in at Poor Phil's after attending a wake across the street and we were not disappointed. We both ordered a burger on a toasted bun and its was delicious! The establishment filled quickly after we arrived so it has to be a well-known restaurant downtown Oak Park. If in the area stop in for a burger.

They are so inconsistent on quality of the food. Beer selection is great if you are just out for beers.

Very good food. And the coffee was excellent---hard to find while travelling. The prices are reasonable, too, especially for a hotel restaurant.

The Murphy's have had restaurants in Oak Park for decades, and they know how to do it right. Poor Phil's has a wide variety of offerings, and an extensive list of beers from small breweries to imported selections. Great place for family with kids, up to about 7 pm, and then the place gets a sports bar crowd. Great location in Oak Park, good food, a bar with whatever you want, friendly staff. Did I mention good food at a reasonable price?

Straightforward seafood. Lobster and crab legs are always good. Bar is a bit smelly for me (I don't like beer) but dining room and outside are great!

This is a wonderful place to meet locals. Over some unique seafood festivals and variety of beer and whiskeys. Great wait staff who serve up popcorn while you order is placed. Has a sports bar atmosphere and very convenient to the Harlem CTA Green line and downtown Oak Park.
