If you are close to northern Illinois or going thru MAKE THE STOP!! Say hi to Lynn and enjoy the greenhouses even if you don’t grow orchids. They do have some succulents and African violets. Ask anyone for help and they are quality plants. I bought these on Thursday and they packed them for shipping but I carried them on the plane on Sunday. Kept them under air . PERFECT!! I bought my 1st one in 1982 and go any chance I can when in town.

The place is beautiful with all the wonderful orchids plants... but their prices are very high after I purchased a few orchids and few days later I noticed the orchids at Costco, Homedepot and Trader Joe’s are much much better and less in prices...especially traveled almost 60 miles back and forth to Haussermann from where we live.

It's always a memorable place to visit and beauty at it's finest. How can you not LOVE the smell of orchids and tranquility this marvelous place has to offer. Make sure you visit them soon.

Let me start out and say I never plan to visit Chicago in March when they have their open house. However was delited to find out they have an orchid show in September.
We attended and was amazed with all their orchids. Whether you wanted blooming sized plants or seedling plants they had them.
I highly recommend going there to visit. They are normally closed on Sunday unless they have a special event there.
Yes they take plastic. Enjoy.

I love plants and gardens, but can’t grow or get orchids to rebloom. So I go here and look at all of them. They literally have thousands of them and is simply a wonder to behold.

What a beautiful way to escape from the Chicago winter weather! Acres of orchids in greenhouses, all different varieties, sizes, and colors. Bought two lovely orchids, planters to put them into, fertilizer, and even a sweet little mister bottle. We all enjoyed browsing and admiring all those magnificent flowers.

Excellent place to pick up long lasting live orchids for Mother's Day. Reasonable prices with plants ranging from simple to ornate.

Stopped in to picking some new orchids while I was in the area. Always a great trip. So many amazing orchids and a great break from winter. Also the orchids are very reasonable priced. I picked up 3 for under $40

Even if you are not into Orchids, I recommend stopping by! It was a beautiful, clean neat and organized. I was hooked by the end of my visit. The staff is very helpful and patient with newbies!

Call them directly. There would be a couple of variables to consider, I.e. number & types of plants blooming. By talking with them, I'm sure that you will end up with the start of a better tour with more colorful results. When we went, I never gave that any thought, so it wasn't as colorful.
