A guided tour around the vineyard was given to my wife and I as a gift.
The vineyard is a charity and is run as a community resource, perhaps, because of this, everyone we met was enthusiastic, friendly and wanted to ensure that you enjoyed the experience.
It is situated in a beautiful setting and easy to negotiate on foot.
We have been fortunate to have gone on on a number of vineyard tours around the world and this was one of the best. The content was well thought out, simple to understand and provide an insight into the difficulties of wine making.
The guide was excellent and delivered the talk in a straight forward and clear way.
The obligatory wine tasting was also ver enjoyable!!!
It was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
The only down side is that the vine yard is tricky to find using a SatNav a better way would be to use What Three Words where the location is: routs.incur.those

Had a lovely afternoon here. Absolutely brilliant. Lots of lovely different stalls and enjoyed the wine tasting.. Fair prices for the wine. Again the entrance fee good as was the marshalls with the parking. However shame the woman at the information tent was rather rude when purchasing a pen! Overall a good time had!

We had a most enjoyable and informative visit to the Warden Abbey Vineyard. We learnt all about the history of the Abbey before Janet, our guide, took us for a tour describing the care and cultivation of the vines, the tending of which is carried out by volunteers. We also learnt about the ‘Warden’ pear. The tour finished with a chance to taste a still and a sparkling wine produced from the vineyard grapes, and very good they were too!

If you are interested in vineyards and viticulture - this is good way to spend 2 hours. You also get to hear about the large Carthusian monastery that stood on this site 800+ years ago. If you like award-winning English white wine (still or sparkling) - you also get to buy a bottle that was produced from the vines you will see.

Such a lovely place to visit locally and discover the history behind the vineyard. Volunteers were very welcoming, informative and passionate. Tasted a couple of wines; one was nice, the other was sparkling which I don't like so was nothing to do with the vineyard itself. Shame it's not advertised very well, they could benefit from more business. It rained, but they kindly offered us umbrella's and we had the marquee to shelter under. Really nice few hours out.

I'm glad you enjoyed the vineyard tour. It can be tricky getting word out about the vineyard ( as a charity we have a very limited budget) and so people like yourself leaving reviews is really helpful in spreading the word - many thanks for taking the time to do so.

An excellent entertaining and very informative tour led by the lovely and enthusiastic Monica. Our group enjoyed a very interesting few hours. The wines were super and we all enjoyed them and would recommend them. We look forward to further visits.

We had a vineyard tour 9 August on a beautiful day. Old Warden is very much a community asset run by all sorts of community support. Our guide was clearly an enthusiast and the enthusiasm rubbed off! As we finished our tour it was good to see a number of groups setting up to picnic in the sunshine. After testing the product we bought some of the sparkling and the still white. Highly recommended.

We visited as a couple, the tour was lead by the lovely volunteer Janet, there was a team of volunteers that are lovely and all are very knowledgable. The tour was very informative. The vineyard is beautiful. Due to the circumstances there is hand sanitiser stations, the portaloo was so clean and sanitised. We treated ourselves to two bottles of the sparkling brut. Overall a lovely place to visit.

Me and my wife had a morning with Jane doing a pruning experience and we absolutely loved it! Jane took us through everything we wanted/needed to know and exactly how to best prune the vines, and then spent the rest of the morning getting in and working together to work on the vines. we really can’t recommend this enough, we felt so welcome and will 100% be back for future events and volunteering opportunities at the vineyard!
