Nice little park, i wouldnt call it botanial garden but its nice to walk there. I dont recommend if the weather is too hot. Great for families with kids, there is a large playground but honestly its pretty old and needs to be updated

Beautiful place. We were able to walk around, we had a picnic. There was a wedding going on in one area of the place. We felt at peace with nature. The landscapers obviously work very hard on the upkeep here.

We came here as it allows dogs it was $10 fee per person.This place has restrooms and is beautiful garden area and even venue for wedding! So man pretty spots for photos. We enjoyed the clean trails and some history as well. They have a kids park as well if you play Pokémon there are a lot of a lot here and stops lol. They also give you a paper map.We definitely enjoyed ourself.

Not a lot of plants, but the area was very naturally beautiful. Well worth the money if you have small children. We spent a lot of time on the playground area. Also, nice bells to ring.

Friendship Gardens is my favorite place to go for a hike or to just relax. "Friendship Botanic Gardens is a community treasure and an oasis of formal gardens and nature trails tucked in an old-growth forest surrounding Trail Creek in Michigan City, Indiana. " This is the quote from their website, and I couldn't describe it better. There are gardens develop and maintained by locals that represent countries and cultural groups from all over the world. There is also a nice wooded area where one can take a hike and photos, if you like. The lake and fountain are a great place to sit and enjoy nature. During the summer a variety of activities are held almost weekly and include yoga, Friday night casual concerts with Jimmy V, opera singers from Chicago, performers from broadway, etc. At most of the evening events refreshments are available for purchase, however, if you're coming for a stroll or picnic, then you'll need to bring your own food and beverage. Oh, I can't forget the children's playground and adult workout area. Each year more is added to make the Gardens a place for everyone.

What a lovely walk thru nature. Although late in the season the gardens contained a lot of relaxing serene areas with a variety of flowers, bushes and trees. Plenty of benches to stop and reflect. A playground for the kids is included.

It's a beautiful garden. My family and I enjoyed walking the grounds and my daughter really appreciated the playground in the middle. Very well maintained and beautifully dressed themes throughout.

We've been driving past this botanic gardens for years and I've never gone in. We were having a small gathering of friends for the weekend looking for activities around the area and I chose this we were not disappointed at all the grounds are beautiful it's a lovely lovely walk and just a nice way to spend an hour enjoying the outdoors they were setting up for wedding which the setting for the wedding was absolutely beautiful and if I was looking for a wedding venue I think I would consider this 1 will definitely be going back here I'm future trips to new buffalo

We decided to visit the gardens with my Mom who is in a wheelchair. Not all of the paths are wheel chair friendly but most of the gardens are. My mom enjoyed this immensely. The flowers were beautiful, The geese and goslings on the lake were fun to watch. We would definitely return again.

Here you can explore the woods, creekside, and curated gardens. It turns out the park is much larger than I expected. The wooded hiking trails are really nice and marked well. They are not too difficult and there are benches for taking a break or to just take in the woods. The gardens are beautiful. The different countries that are represented have nice info signs. The large pond with a fountain has a nice gazebo and a great area for sitting. There is a large grassy area and Canadian geese were walking about with their babies. The playground was really large and nice. There is plenty for little ones to do and places to run and play. There is an area for hosting large parties like weddings, and it would be a great place for that. Beautiful park for a nice morning or afternoon any time of year.
