Very interesting collection of mainly local Indiana artists. Really enjoyed, mainly Impressionists. One Renoir painting on loan. Liked the exhibit of living artists and me voting for my favorite piece

This is definitely a hidden cultural gem where you'd least expect to see one. Gallery is small, but free and the exhibits are remarkable. There are some works by Grant Wood for those who like regional art and other midwest artists. The museum has been around for decades in an ornate structure that reflects the gilded age and more prosperous times.

Diverse collection with no specialization, tries to be a big city posh gallery but really would like to see more focus in the collection. Parking is difficult - very little street parking. Staff was friendly. Free admission masked required.

American art. Well lit. Good signage. Free. About 2,500 works in the collection.
Relatively small but worth 1-2 hours to see the collection.

A great art museum that you wouldn't expect to find in such a small city. I'm glad I took advantage of it and my friend from out of town enjoyed it too. Especially loved seeing the Warhol.

I really enjoyed this museum, and the Swope art was a new find for me. I'd definitely recommend if you are going through Terre Haute.

We only had one hour to visit due to our late arrival in Terre Haute, but it was just the right size to enjoy the visit within that hour. The permanent collection of Indiana artist landscapes was fantastic, taking one back to and earlier age in the country. Photography is allowed, and it was aq cool oasis on a very hot afternoon.
