Actually we really enjoyed putting carrots in the monkey cage. And feeding other small animals. I saw big animals in a giant cage and little animals in a small cage. My wife held a baby tiger, piglets, and bunnies. My daughter likes this place too. Really, some people like to puff up and make judgement over this nice little place. Like they are more knowledgeable or something. Or their opinion somehow carries more weight. (It doesn't) No doubt, it's a little private zoo, and lacks millions in taxpayer funding. I'll bet the owners don't bring in anywhere close to enough money here to cover their costs. They like doing it as a Family. (I also saw the negative and questionably racist comment about the Amish people too on a review.) People should be free to have a zoo if they want. I decided after reading some of the complaints, to promote this place, and oppose the "CONDEMNING PEOPLE". If they don't like it they shouldn't go back. Your kids will Love this place.

It was so sad. I left and cried.
This place is not an animal sanctuary. It is a company that puts wild animals in small dirty cages for money.

Hard to believe that in the small town of Topeka IN there is such a great place to visit a farm that has Lions Tigers and Monkeys, a camel and many other not typical to this area animals. The owners are just easy going folks but know their animals very well. It's not a fancy overpriced zoo but a fun interactive learning experience that all should go and enjoy. You can ride in a cart where the goats climb in to ride too and you can take a leisure walk around all the animals. Very fun and enjoyable.

I took my niece here to visit. I would rather drive a little further and go to Black Pine in Albion. This is a for profit operation not a sanctuary. Several animals were housed in small enclosures with concrete floors and no access to any type of vegetation or shade.

We have been to Maple Lane several times and always enjoy our visit. My kids love the baby animals and the owners are so nice. We will definitely be back!

Entrance rates are very reasonable and they have feed you can purchase. Camel and pony rides are available for an additional fee. Kids can pet baby chicks, deer, and the goats. A super cute miniature pig runs around to greet people.
They have some cool caged animals, including deer, elk, lions, Tigers, and bears.
An enjoyable way to spend 2 hours.

They take good care of their animals. They sometimes let the large cats outside of the corncrib on the inside of another pen so they can roam around. They give the animals the correct amount of food. The bears have a lot of shade and ground to themselves. InFact, all the animals do and the owners are very friendly to the animals. They have awesome things to do there.

If enough people share their concerns, perhaps the USDA will finally shut this place down. Animals have been seized for biting patrons. Violations of animal welfare laws have been repeatedly cited. Now, animals are being transported for exhibits offsite suffering from obvious injuries. Profit is apparently more important than the welfare of the animals - or the patrons - at this roadside, unaccredited zoo.

Incredibly friendly people and obviously caring for their animal friends. More rustic than a zoo for sure, but maintained well and family friendly.
