Great day for an outing

It was Friday so my daughter and 24 year old granddaughter. I hoped it would not be busy. No such luck. The line in the store was wrapped completely around the interior. There was no line for getting apples but they were unable to sample (like the have in years past) due to COVID. I bought my normal small bag of apples. I just bought Fuji since I could not taste any new kinds. They cost a little over $8. I also bought 2 pies: apple with streusel topping and strawberry/rhubarb. I noticed they were higher priced this year and the apple pies were not rounded up high on top like previous years. But I remembered how good they were and I promised my husband I would bring home pie, so I bought them. My total was $40.40 for 2 pies and the small bag of apples.
Once home we tried the pies. The apple was not prepared the same as years past. It had a Carmel like sauce in it which tasted like something from a can with fresh apples thrown in. It was not like I was expecting. I much preferred the old recipe.... a regular apple pie. The strawberry/rhubarb was ok but tasted like something you would buy at a grocery store. It did not taste homemade either. I won’t be buying my pies there any longer. Sad... I looked forward to those pies every year. Fuji apples I can buy at Kroger. I won’t make the trip there again unless I take younger children who enjoy the animals and playing on the barn slide.

Beautiful out in the country.

Love the grounds and activites. Fun for everyone. Very crowded.Good food and lots of fun. Only down side for me was the porta potties. It would be nice to have a real bathroom.

This is a wonderful trip. Bales of hay for kids to climb, pony rids, face painting and playground are $ 3.00 each per child. Beware 🤖Wagon rides to pick your pumpkin cost!!! Yes a cost for the ride to the patch. Everyone had a great time !! Great place!!! Again just beware things cost !! You can drive back to the patch 🎃

Worth the visit

Very slow lines at paying and ordering items

I love the place but every time we go, we have to wait a lot of time in the lines trying to pay or to order and unfortunately yesterday was not an exception.
The lady at the ice cream shop was very (extremely) slow and rude.
She even made fun of how slow she was and how she could not do anything about it!
She was also very rude when customers asked questions, plainly ignored them.
I waited in the line with my two daughters for more than 1 hr and there were only five customers ahead of us. I asked several of the employees to send help but, the place was so busy help never arrived.
Then, the lady unplugged a water device and flooded the place. I guess she did not want to serve anyone, anymore. ONLY THEN help arrived!

A lady was asking for a manager because the ice cream lady started yelling at her. But apparently there was no manager. So who do you go to?

Unending activities, playgrounds, apples, petty and feeding animals, hay bales to climb, hay rides, goods eats including large variety of apples and things to do. Nice picnic area.

This place keeps growing. I had no clue about delicious apples could be because all I knew was the tastless Red delicious from local stores. My husband brought home some apple bread that was so delicious we had to check out this orchard. I arrived almost 18 yrs ago and a lady asked what type of apple did I like and my answer was none and then she smiled and sliced me a slice of all the apples they had that day. They were all so delicious I could not pick one. I brought home apple pie, apple bread, apple dumplings and a peck of apples. I have been back every year. This uear I am going back after moving to Nashville, TN 3 yrs ago It is worth the trip.

I confess, we went here well outside their season, so I can't really rate their main attractions. If you want really tasty apples, Apple juice and Apple baked goods, go here whenever they are open; in-season or not. The staff let us sample all the apple varieties and even off season, they were delicious. The staff that helped us were very nice but were obviously distracted with other chores. I'm sure they are much better in-season. I bought a jar of cherry ameretto preserves that was delicious.

This has to be one of the largest apple orchard around in the area.There are a lot of different things for kids and adults to do.The only real issue I had is that it is out of the way and hard to get to and from.
