We rode out there on a scooter, rode right round the Lake then ate in one of the cafes on stilts over the water. It is close to town so it wouldn’t cost much to get there by tuk tuk. We were there on a weekday so it was quiet but I imagine at the weekend it is busy. Sitting in one of the cafes was very peaceful and quite suitable to sit and wipe away the time.

I’m here right now. It’s the first week in Jan. It is very pleasant.

I've been several times and chosen not to swim, as I don't know what's in the water. As the other poster said, locals quite happily swim there.

Contrary to the above, it can be popular but it is never "very crowded." I go here twice a week.

It's rare find for halal food around the area, so i will recommend you to bring your own food OR/ if you are not that strict on it, you can order the papaya salad(i think thats the safest, seafood fried rice or even steam fish/ seafood) near the lake~ if not you can just have some drinks and chill around the lake area (: it's awesome season now!

It is not 20bht entrance if you are falang. Entrance for Johnny Foreigner is 50bht.
