Hi Sharon- there is a lovely tea room actually in the car parking area next to the Castle- they are open all year round, and really lovely. Outside you have views over the Brecon Beacons, and from the car park a lovely walk around the park itself, leading to the Brecons if you feel energetic. Tip- the tea room sells the most delicious marmalade in various unusual flavours- made on site. Well worth taking a jar home.

The country park in its self is another attraction I agree, the grounds are well kept, with the access to most areas being easy. The gardens are a blissful site in both spring and summer, with a great effort being made for the re introduction of wild plants throughout the hedgerows. A definite place to visit, and keep a look out for the wildlife, as on sunny summers days our native lizards can be seen along the stream baskin on the rocks.
