This was our 2nd visit to the Hamilton County Speedway in the last 3 weeks and both times we had a great time! We typically go a few times each summer...we like the updates which includes no wet floor in the women’s restroom!

Plain and simple the racing here is historic. I have been coming here since I was 3. It's home away from home. Please stop if you want to have a great time

If your a redneck or not, this is a fun family adventure for all to experience, available only in Hamilton county! Beer is sold in six packs in a plastic bag filled with ice so the heat is survivable!

I stopped by the Hamilton County Speedway at the fairgrounds in Webster City Iowa on a Saturday night.
They have a full slate of 1/2 mile dirt track racing that is good, clean, family fun.
The track is on bottom land beside the Boone River and the fair grounds are on a bluff beside it so the hill side makes a natural arena. They have a covered grand stand and open bleachers in the first turn.
$10 got you in the door for a full slate of racing. They began with hot laps at 6:30, practice races to let the guys try their motors and get a feel for the track. At 7:30 the racing begins in earnest with a dozen races or so. Most races are 5 - 10 laps. The night I visited they had 90 cars registered to race.
They sell beer but it is a very family friendly place. I got the feeling that many racers race every Saturday at this track, and Friday and Sunday at others.
One consideration is to bring foam ear plugs or headsets, especially for kids. It is loud at times.
