The two of us saw the few reviews in TripAdvisor and it seemed interesting to us given we are scientifically inclined and Kansas grows a lot of wheat; however, the KWIC web site does not mention any tours, so tours seemed a bit of a mystery. None the less, we showed up early in the afternoon at the Center, asked about a tour, and were given one on the spot. The interesting tour covered the background on the KWIC and what some of their current work involves as well as walking to several of their greenhouses and seed freezers. Highly recommend it if you are so inclined.

Great place for a small meeting. Great for groups to tour and learn about Kansas. Many of those who work there have grown up in Kansas or the area so they love what they do. They do have a small meeting room. They are a great place to learn about Kansas Agriculture. Tours are well worth planning.

Who knew about all of the science behind growing wheat! You just don't throw seeds on the ground and hope it will grow. Here they take you through the process of developing and making seeds and crops better. The tour guide told us that it took 6 years after developing and testing to get to the planting stage. They have multiple greenhouses and labs for the K-State students to attend. They also have a large amount of non-Americans visitors to learn more about wheat. We thought this might be boring but it is far from it.
