Jim Cantrell is a Bluegrass State treasurer, now the FIRST Kentucky artist chosen to create the Kentucky Derby Poster for 2017. His talent is unbelievable, having kept a studio in Bardstown for decades. As well, the studio is a specialty "Thomas Merton" bookstore. Worth your stop.

FAB in Bardstown KY was a delightful surprise. While visiting Bardstown for the day
two of my friends and myself stopped in to see what this shop had to offer. This is a venue where artist can display their work. Wonderful arts and crafts galore. There were paintings, jewelry, cards, scarves, sculptures, pottery, framed photos, clay and wood art pieces and much more to see and choose to purchase from. We all walked out of the store with packages of delightful arts and crafts that had called our names - ha ! This is a do over for sure the next time I am in Bardstown.

Wife & I and friends visited Bardstown for the weekend. One of the highlights was the Art Gallery. Mostly local arts and crafts - excellent work! We'll be back

I just had a second to stop in and it ended up being a lot longer. An artist that has their work displayed here also has to do their time behind the counter. So that was really neat meeting an artist and seeing her work. There are a lot of very talented artists in Bardstown.

I'm not much on spending too much on art, but this place had a few things that may interest a traveler. Worth the stop if you are in between places and want to see if you can add something to your collection.

A sign said to ring the doorbell, which I did not expect anyone to show up, but wow, ended up with a personal tour of the home and artists studio. It was so interesting to see how and where he worked and the process behind it. They were so kind. They also had some beautiful pottery and blown glass.
