It is a nice and great place to visit during Chinese New Year. There are plenty of parking lots provided to visitors and the food serve here is meatless. The light decorations is quite cool and fascinating during the night. You would find dificulty to take a picture during the night. There is still a lot of place to cover that I couldn't covered.

The light decorations is kinda cool. A bit difficult to take pictures with yourself in it though. The temple area is huge... A lot to cover. The food here are meatless but very tasty. Plenty of parking.

FGS Malaysia offer amazing lanterns and lighting experience for many families, friends and tourists during the Chinese New year festival every year. There is no exceptional for the year of golden rats in 2020. FGS Malaysia has continued with the organising efforts for the last 16 years, many local Malaysian will travel as far as from Penang or JB to visit this lantern festival and at the sametime pray to Buddha to better year to come.

This temple is lineage is from Taiwan where Fo Guang Shang originated, there's also a branch in Singapore.
The compound is quite huge, with manmade waterfall, ponds, statues, steps, bridges and pagoda.
It is a nice place to wonder around, feel calm and relaxing.

The temple is well decorated, with beautiful statues, gardens and meaningful chinese quotes along the way to Daxiong Baodian. I would suggest parents to send their kids to the Buddhist camps held by Dongzen Temple as they are fun and meaningful for children to learn more.

Very sorry jenjarom this area don’t have transportation to fo guang shan temple.so you can drive the car to temple.

Hi all,
we are a family of four with 11 and 8 year old sons visiting Kuala Lumpur from 22nd to 25th may for four days. Would like to know if we can visit Batu caves, Pewter factory, Textile factory and Fo Guang Dong Zen Temple. Kindly suggest how all the above mentioned places should be covered in a day so that we are in the right place at the right time. Is there anything else on the way to visit?
As of now the plan is to go to Batu caves in the morning, Pewter factory, Textile factory and Zen temple in the evening. We are staying in Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur.

You can do Batu Caves in the morning and be done in 1-2 hours depending on how fast you make it up the 272 stairs. I would advise you to go in the morning as the afternoon sun can be quite merciless.
After lunch you can make your way to the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre (I assume that is what you mean by pewter factory). I am not sure which textile factory you are referring to though so I can't gauge the travelling time.
As for the temple, please bear in mind the temple is not in KL. It is in a different town called Jenjarom which is about 1 hour plus drive from KL City one way. So if you plan to visit the temple in the evening then you will have to factor in at least 2 hours traveling time to go there and come back.
