Great craft experience: knowledgeable and personable guide, full access to the complete process from grain to bottle, historic building with lots of charm, amazing product, and so much more. Because our group was small (a couple we did not know, my husband, and me), when we asked questions, it spurred a discussion and not just a quick answer. Our guide was lots of fun and really enjoyed her job and telling us not only about this distillery, but bourbon’s history and importance in this community. (The drive from Lexington and back was also absolutely beautiful…lots of horses and beautiful homes and farms.)

Cool smaller distillery with quirky, fun guides. We enjoyed learning about the process of making bourbon and other spirits and the difference between pre-prohibition bourbon and modern bourbon.

AMAZING!! Hubby and I were the only ones for the tour and we LOVED it! Rachel was an informative and entertaining guide (partner?). Enjoyed meeting the cats and learning a LOT about the traditions pre-Prohibition. Fabulous tour, FUN environment and super tasty products. Fans for life and WILL be back to watch them grow...

When Your in Kentucky you have to visit this gem of a distillery and Hartfield & Co fits the bill. The tour was fun and informative and the tasting was a great way to end our visit.

I was fortunate enough to be the only participant on my tour and tasting, and had a wonderful one-on-tour experience. Even though I am not a bourbon drinker, the tour was great and the information was very informative. Not being a bourbon drinker, I was taken aback by the cost of their products, but was very impressed by their operations upon learning that just a handful of employees do everything. It was a great rainiy day option.

Perhaps the hidden gem on our recent trip to KY bourbon trail. This place is a small outfit maybe only 3 folks but it is all about the craft here! Try the bourbon, it is excellent, however their white whiskey is the secret. Try it even if you do not generally like white whiskey, this stuff will make you a believer!

This a good craft distillery in a small town of Kentucky. We went on our bourbon tour and it was nice to have very up close tour.

My Frenchman and I live in San Francisco. We visited Kentucky and booked a tour at Hartfield & Co for Saturday October 9, 2021 directly on their website. We drove 45 mins to this distillery in Paris, KY only to discover that the company was closed for the weekend. They had clearly forgotten to update their hours on their website and turn off their bookings for this weekend. We even received an email reminder the day before regarding our upcoming "visit". How extraordinarily unprofessional. A complete waste of our time on a Saturday afternoon. Would recommend that you go elsewhere.

This was my favorite distillery tour over my three days in Kentucky. We visited five distilleries including Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve and Four Roses. It's clearly a big versus small comparison. Small wins every time in my book.
The people working here care. They are invested and you can feel it when they talk. The people actually making the spirits are the same ones talking to you. There is not a tasting room or gift shop with hundreds of people, lines, and employees that it's just a job to them.
The tastings here were genuine. The tour of the building and process was full of excitement. After our free tasting, we took home a bottle of Kentucky Straight Bourbon.
