What an enjoyable river cruise, Paul was such a wonderful guide and captain and so informative about the city and history of the river. We would recommend this river cruise whenever you’re in town. Visiting from Snook, TX

Relaxing / Peaceful hour and 1/2 trip along Cane River. A good way to end a day taking in the sites of historic downtown, beautiful homes with huge Cypress, Magnolia, Pecan trees and various wildlife species.

This is a wonderful ride, whether during christmas season or spring we have done both. This is a very nice tour very cozy during the holidays and so beautiful in spring being able to see the flowers

This was billed as a "historic"tour of Cane River Lake. It was relaxing. The scenery was nice. But, to be honest, there wasn't much history involved.
The cruise lasted a little more than an hour. Every now and then, the captain would offer up some tidbit of information, but mostly you cruise along listening to old rock music. (They did play some zydeco songs which seemed more appropriate.)
Very little was said about the wildlife or the vegetation. Actually, little was said about history. The captain spent a good amount of time telling us about the stairs he helped build at one of the houses along the way.
The captain seemed like a nice guy, the cruise was relaxing and the houses along the riverbank were very nice. The highlight seemed to be the house Julia Roberts stayed at while they filmed the movie "Steel Magnolia" some years ago.
All in all, not a bad way to spend an hour, but the kids seemed to get bored before too long.

Captain Paul and his boat tour was the perfect ending to a day spent with family and friends. The view of the riverfront lights was beautiful! I enjoyed the history and the best part was when he announced it was my son’s birthday and we all sang to him. So great!

Great experience whether in a large group or on a date, etc. My friend and I were in town during the week and wanted to enjoy the river. We came across the boat parked on the dock and were elated to see sunset tours were available. We had a blast enjoying the nice weather, hearing about the history of the area, searching for gators, enjoying music, and drinking wine (BYOB). Captain Paul is fun and caters to your needs and preferences. This is definitely worth the time!

Enjoyed the nice sightseeing tour of the banks on the Cane River. The view was breathtaking. Definitely recommended.

Cane River Queen riverboat is very much in business. It was posted that the company had gone out of business - not so. Like many water activities, they close in January due to weather, but are open to take reservations.

We visited with the owner today and found out tours will be starting back up next weekend! We plan to come back, we love natchitoches.

I would think that there will be tours on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but you might want to call to confirm this.

What are dates and times for the tour? Where do you board for the tour? We have been to Natchitoches several times and unfortunately never knew about this attraction. Thank you

tours are a little over an hour long and the cost is $20 per adult with a 4 adult minimum.
