I have been to Bangor many times before, but had never been here until this year. Through a quick google search on upcoming events around town, I learned about this place. They were showing 9 to 5 the Musical. I love musical theatre and was super excited to see this performance. The theatre was very nice and comfortable. The sound was good and the actors were great. There was a small bar set up with things for sale if desired. I didn't buy anything. They had programs for guests and the bathroom downstairs was nice. There was a couch in it and they had another bathroom upstairs. Anyone could use either washroom which was nice to help keep the lines shorter. The price was reasonable and I look forward to attending another performance on the next visit!

What a wonderful theatre! I had a couple of free days during a business trip and the theatre was recommended by a friend. The performance was very well done, the venue was warm and comfortable, and acoustics were great. I recommend it and will make a point of attending another performance on the next visit!

I subscribed to PTC Digitus Theatrum for some entertainment during the Covid-19 crisis. Last week I listened to "Ghost Postcards from Maine" which is a collection of six ghost stories set in Maine. These were very well done and are really entertaining. I listened to them again, one at a time, a few days later. Great actors, sound and visual impressions! Perfect for an eerie fall evening! I also watched "The Glitch Witch." It's designed more for the young, but I'm an old timer and enjoyed watching something that was light, fun and entertaining. There is a wide selection of different types of shows available at various times throughout the winter. Check this out. It's well done and transmits beautifully on the computer, cell phone or smart TV.

I attended the online ghost hunt Penobscot is doing this October! It was a delight! The event was well-managed, full of spooky stories, and lots of Halloween scenes!
I really missing going to live haunted houses this year, but turning off the lights in my apartment and watching a ghost interact with our guide was a pretty good alternative.
The company also included a guide book, a recipe for a cocktail/mocktail to sip at home, and the event ended with a useful Q & A! Great fun—well worth $25!

The Penobscot Theatre is a treasure for Bangor. While the Theatre remains physically closed during Covid, it is alive in spirit. The theatre is located in the old opera house and offers a variety of plays during the year. It is in the downtown part of Bangor. During the temporary closure you can find the theatre online. It is worth a visit if you support culture.

Thanks! Yes! We are taking this time to renovate the opera house bathrooms, upgrade our sound system and catalogue our 47 years of costumes and props. Additionally, we are offering an ecclectic season of original work we are creating for this new hybrid medium, called Digitus Theatrum - certainly a season unlike any other we have ever produced before or even imagined! So far we have subscribers from all over the world supporting this endeavor. We look forward to sharing the work of Penobscot Theatre Company and of introducing more folks to historic, beautiful, fascinating Bangor, Maine!

Don’t Dress For Dinner was another great performance! The actors are so talented they pull you right into the story. Thank you PTC for bringing high quality productions to Bangor.

We have enjoyed many, many top rated performances at the Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor. For a small theater, PTC delivers the best each time; amazing performers, sets, lighting, sound, etc. Bangor is lucky to have such a talented group in our small city. PTC is one of the best attractions in the entire area.

We had so many huge belly laughs! Couldn't have been any better if it had been performed in NYC. It is why we have season tickets.

We saw "Don't Dress for Dinner." This is a classic comedy of mistaken identity and wacky characters, made even more special by the talented actors. We particularly enjoyed the performance of Jen Shepard of Improv Acadia fame, as Suzette. This theater is a gem!
