The Rock and Art Shop has locations in Bangor, Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. We ended up visiting all three. The store has an amazing variety of gifts - and it very cool - almost like a museum - to browse in. We purchased most of the gifts for our families here and even picked up a few Christmas presents. There was no shortage of local and handmade goods. Check out the bowls made from minerals and the fossils. You'll find gifts for young and old, moms, dads and kids. Very good prices too and friendly staff.

I, at 43, love this store. My son, at 10, loves this store. Plants, posters, art, rocks/gems, stationary, baby gifts, educational "toys", jewelry...unique, weird, interesting. They have it all...for anyone!

What a fascinating little store. Tons of rocks but also jewelry, cards, lotions, plants, etc. There is even a little art gallery. You could spend a long time in here.

My favorite local shop in Bangor! Super cute, they have everything from plants to stones to jewelry, even little gifts like mugs and such. They constantly have new things and the staff is very knowledgeable about everything in there. A must visit!

This is a cool store. Nice here, with different choices of things to buy. Rocks in different types and sizes and shapes.

Always a new experience with varied things to look at from stationery, journals, and cards, to jewelry rendered in different stones. Although the name is Rock and Art the shop includes lotions and potions and an array of plants. The air plants are always a marvel and at Christmas tree decorations, are available. A miniature terrarium. I have kept them in the pots of other plants. The shop includes linens, kitchen items, and always has a gallery of local artists updated.

I went into the shop looking for some crystals and was not disappointed! I'll be back for more! The prices are bit high, but I doubt they are different elsewhere. There is a lot to see in this shop for unique gifts you could get someone.

This is just the coolest shop. I could have spent all day looking through all of the cool rocks and the great exhibits upstairs as well! If you are a rock hound you will love this store!
