Wow this was an awesome trip. Captain Buzzy really did his best to make us comfortable on his boat and show us the sights. He was very patient and showed us were the puffins were and we got some great shots of them. We got some great sights of lighthouses too. Thanks to Captain Buzzy's expertise we had a wonderful time and would go back and do it again without thinking a second thought!

Captain Buzzy did his very best to ensure that we had a cruise of a lifetime. We were interested in seeing and photographing the Puffins and breathtaking scenery. He took his time and made sure that we were completely satisfied before returning back to port. He was very generous with his time and gave us as much information as we needed. The boat is comfortable and sturdy with open viewing or the option to sit inside the cabin. We had an interesting tour of the lobster industry, lighthouses and many varieties
of waterfowl such as terns, puffins, murre, guillemot and gulls. A very lovely and happy trip with an and enthusiastic and apt tour guide who made us feel entirely safe and cared for. We would highly recommend Captain Buzzy Shinn's Downeaster Coastal Cruises to anyone.

Captain Buzzy and our tour of light houses on Pleasant Bay was indeed the apex of our recent trip to Maine. We loved seeing the puffins and various colored lobster buoys. Captain Buzzy's narrative was informative and entertaining. If you want to experience the remoteness of and beauty of Maine away from the centers of tourism this is a must.

Capt. Buzzy provided a wonderful outing along coastal Maine. We had the "Lobster Feast" cruise and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Capt. Buzzy was a class act. Definitely recommend this excursion to anyone vacationing in Downeast Maine.

We had another wonderful advendure seeing an entire new set of sights on coastal Maine - including a stop on an island for lunch. My family says this is the best day of our trip... again. Capt Buzzy is so gracious and caring about our enjoyment and treats us like we have been good friends for many years. Just a delight and we will be back. On top of a great cruise, we initially were schedule for a Monday but the weather and fog were not ideal. Buzzy called us on Sunday saying we would decide early on Monday, but asked that we pick another time when the weather would be better. We decided to go on Tuesday instead - a perfect day! Buzzy was most concerned that we would have the best conditions for our outing! That's a sign of someone who loves what they do! Thanks Buzzy!

My family has had numerous Mid Coast and Down East cruises to remote islands and refuges over the years, It is a must for us to get out on the Maine coastal waters to view the seabird rookeries, rugged coast line, and learn about Maine coast dwellers' style of life. Folks we know in Jonesport ME recommended Captain Buzzy Shin when we indicated the we wished to find a way to cruise out to the Petit Manan light. We did so and were absolutely delighted . Captain Buzzy Shin was incredibly accommodating. He worked with us to find optimal weather conditions and got us out to the areas we were interested in visiting. Some of the sights included the wreck of a 19th century schooner at Milbridge landing, the Petit Manan light with its Atlantic Puffin, Black Guillemot, and other sea bird populations, and the Pond Island Light. Captain Buzzy has a knowledge of the waters, the lobster fishery, the inhabitants of these remote places, that can not be equaled. He comes from a Maine seafaring family that has sailed these waters for generations. If you have a chance, do not miss the opportunity to cruise with Captain Buzzy!

I have used Captain Buzzy Shin on two different visits to Milbridge. One time, he did an excursion where we pulled lobster traps with him. Another time he took us out to see the Petit Manan lighthouse and puffins. Buzzy is informative and nice, and his boat is nice and clean. We have really enjoyed our boat rides and sightseeing tours with Captain Buzzy!

We spent the entire week of our vacation trying to take a ride to see the puffins with Capt. Buzzy, but the fog kept us on land. Buzzy was extremely accommodating, and didn't want to take us out until he knew we would be able to see the sites. Finally, on our last day, the fog cleared just enough for us to take a harbor cruise (still too foggy in the Petit Marin area to see the puffins). It was a terrific ride and Buzzy was so grateful for our flexibility throughout the week that he threw in several lobsters for our dinner that night at no extra charge. See if THAT ever happens somewhere else! If you're visiting hte Milbridge area, make sure you contact Capt. Buzzy for a great time out on the water.

We recently took a trip to see wild puffins in Maine. We contacted Captain Buzzy after having him being recommended by a local store owner. He did a great job. Attentive, organized, on time, always making sure we were ok on the boat and getting great angles for our photographs. If you are in Maine and want to go see Puffins we really recommend an outing with Captain Buzzy.

We went with Captain Buzzy on July 18th it was a great trip .He's very knowledgeable, he answered all our questions silly or not.He's a lot of fun & caring the water was a little rough & a couple of us were worried about sea sickness, he would stop & make sure we were ok before we headed out further. Saw many beautiful things .Had a great trip definitely go out with him you'll have a great time & learn a lot! Went with my sister, her son & wife if my sister & I were to go again we would go on the lobster cooking trip.
