Spending a day with Zac Glidden floating down the Penebscot River, with all of its fall beauty on display was epic! Not only does Zac know his stuff when it comes to catching smallies ... he is a wealth of information about all things Maine!
If you are in the area this is a must do!!!

I have been wanting to do a guided fishing trip in Maine for a long time, and finally made it happen. Ended up floating down the Penobscot with Zac, who was an excellent guide and gave me just what I asked for. A little fly fishing instruction, some spinner fishing, and lots of beautiful nature with good company. Highly recommend you give this a try!

Kevin guided my wife and I for a couple of days of fly fishing at Bradford Camps in the northern Maine woods. The fishing was great and Kevin is personable, knowledgable, fun to be with, and a good coach for improving your casting. We had a great time and highly recommend him. A couple of the togue we caught were prepared by the camp cook and were terrific.

My wife and I visited Maine again after 32 years. We decided to charter Tracewski Fishing Adventures. What a great decision! We had the pleasure of fishing with Eric for 8 hours. From the very first cast (with Eric’s new favorite lure his bud gave him) we caught quality smallies. I couldn’t believe that we were catching so many fish. With my wife catching the biggest at 16” smallmouth. Now I must tell you that Eric and I caught fish not that smaller, and lots of them. I didn’t count fish, didn’t have a calculator, but there was very time gone by without someone catching fish. The guide we got was Eric and I can’t say enough about this young man. What a professional he was from the minute we met him. It truly was a pleasure spending all day fish with Eric. His equipment was comfortable and stable, perfect for our trip. Check this out, a dead fish floated by (4’ from the boat) and my wife said aww 😪, Eric says “ eagle bait”. Not 30 seconds later, like on cue, a young bald eagle circle the boat, dived down and grabbed the fish right next to us. Freaking amazing!!! Eric, sorry about loosing that lure, hope you went back and got it back. Thank you Kevin and Eric.

I wanted to introduce my 14 year old son to the wilderness outdoor pursuits that my native Maine neighbors take for granted. Being a total novice I was looking for a guide that would be as happy taking a couple of “tender foot” types out for a day of ice fishing, as he would an experienced fisherman.
From the moment I contacted Kevin Tracewski I knew I had made the right choice. Kevin made sure to involve me in process of planning a successful day out. From his recommendation of the rustic lodge we stayed in during our fishing trip, to seeing us off at the end of what my son said was “the best day of my life” he surpassed all expectations.
We were so busy catching fish that we barely had time to catch our breath, but still found the the time to eat a delicious hot lunch. Kevin being a U Maine biology professor and author has his own interesting back story, but was much more interested in hearing our story. Although my son was missing a day of school, with all the knowledge Kevin had to impart, I have no doubt he learned more that day than he would have in the classroom for week. In other words it was a totally guilt free pleasure fishing with Kevin. Not to mention if you like to talk baseball you’ll have an equally enthusiastic and knowledgable counterpart in Kevin.
Not only did we catch a bunch of keepers (even the game wardens were impressed with our catch) my boy loved driving one of Kevin's snowmobiles for the day. We are already looking forward to next year up at Moosehead Lake wilderness area and another outdoor adventure with our trusted guide Kevin Tracewski. If your looking for a fishing guide you’ve found him.

We did a smallmouth float trip down the Penobscot with Zack and it was a GREAT day! He was really good at pointing out the hot spots to cast and kept us on fish throughout the day. My husband is an avid fisherman but I am not and we both had a wonderful day. We highly recommend Zack!

We went out for a half day small mouth trip and it was a blast! Our tour guide Eric was fantastic! He was super helpful, knowledgeable, funny, and an all around great guy. I caught 21 small mouth throughout the day, the biggest being 20 inches. I would definitely come back and do this again. It was an excellent day on the water! I would recommend that everyone should fish with Tracewski Fishing.

The guys (ages 43, 15 and 14) really enjoyed the canoe trip, caught lots of fish and seen the wildlife on the trip downstream. They were very pleased with the guide and the trip!

Kevin took my wife and I snowmobiling around--and a little bit into--Baxter State Park, and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is interested in experiencing Maine. It was our first time snowmobiling and Kevin got us up to speed in no time. In addition to seeing the beautiful Maine scenery, Kevin showed us plenty of hidden gems on the trails, such as a tiny cabin sized restaurant and some authentic tucked away fishing camps. In addition, Kevin had great stories, and he is a genuinely enjoyable person to spend the day with. He highly recommend him.

My wife and I set up two trips though Kevin (Sept 2015) and they turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. On the first day, Kevin set us up with Zach, a nice and easy-going guide, and professional. Zach began his effort to contact us two days before the trip and we talked the next afternoon to fine tune the plan. I'm a fishing guide down in Florida and had already checked the weather which was forecast to be raining the entire day. I could tell Zach was politely trying to get a feel for how I felt about fishing in the rain but as we talked we both came to the conclusion that it wasn't going to be windy, it wasn't cold, and we all had rain coats, so we went fishing, and I'm glad we did! My wife was a trooper in the back of the drift boat while I fished. I can remember more than once Zach would make a suggestion for a cast placement and BOOM! Fish On! He did an outstanding job and it was a pleasure to fish with him.
We got in from fishing and not shortly after, Kevin called to talk about the next day of fishing. He explained that today's rain may affect his plan, with too much water pouring into the mountain streams. But tomorrow's forecast called for sunny skies, little wind, and mild temperatures so we both agreed that it'd be great to get out in the back country, check out some streams and see first hand what the conditions were. Again, we had an outstanding time. After driving miles up into the woods to gain river access, Kevin provided waders and staffs and after dressing up, we jumped right in and began wading down stream. For a Florida boy, wading over slippery boulders took a while to get used to - I think my wife did better than I did, but I soon began to rely on the staff and with Kevin's direction, we caught some nice "Brookies". More than catching fish though, just the opportunity to get way back in the woods, wade a clear mountain stream, and see scenery that not too many tourists will ever see - made the trip "Just What We Wanted"! We released all fish - took none home, but I can honestly say we take away two new friendships in Zach and Kevin. Thanks Kevin!
