Good tour. Lots of information about Portland. You will see a lot of different things and food recommendations from the locals and the tour guide are very helpful!

Wendy was soo incredibly nice. She is very knowledgeable, funny, and just amazing. I learned alot, had fun, and was able to take plenty of photos. This was very enjoyable and totally worth it.

I had low expectations for this trip. we were on a cruise ship and chose to book this kind of by default. It was a great tour. Our guide was full of fun information, but not too much. We saw historical sites, cultural sites and really got a feel of the city. I recommend this for sure

It was fun. We had a rent car but we took this guided tour first. This approach showed us the primary places of interest. Afterwards, we drove our car back to the places of most interest to explore longer. This is also a good way to get familiar with the city before we drive around in our car.
The driver/guide was excellent. He was humorous, knowledgeable, a safe driver and gave us a good time.

What a great excursion, the whole crew was so nice and pleasant and Mark the MC for the tour was so knowledgeable and funny. Learned so very much, which is always a wonderful thing.

This tour was really great. We got an overview of all of the lighthouses and some other important historical sites. The water and weather were beautiful.

I think our guide was Wendy. This was one of the best tours we did in our 2-week trip. She was interesting, funny, engaging, and shared much more info than we got online or in our walking tour. Lots of photo opps from the trolley. Departed and returned on time. She went above and beyond dropping off passengers at their requested destinations. Only feedback is that we would have liked more time at the lighthouse. Would recommend.

I absolutely loved the trolley tour! Our driver was engaging and funny, and she knew everything about anything. She’s great at her job! It was so fun learning some of the history of Portland and to see the beautiful lighthouse. I highly recommend for visitors.

No. It is a narrated tour (bus ride) with a stop at the Portland Head Lighthouse. The driver was good about pointing out and explaining sights that you may want to see after the tour. The area is walkable and easy to get around.

I can’t believe they are shut down for the year because of covid. Does anyone know of a very similar tour trip? We want to see lighthouses and the other stuff they talked about would have been way cool for the in-laws.

We are looking at Peek at the Portland tour- I see its only an hour -seems pricey for only an hour- Did you feel you saw enough to get your money's worth?

It was worth the price. It was a nice day in the water. We saw most of the light houses in the area and a harbor seal sunning itself. The tour guide was good and the boat was comfortable.

I'm sorry I can't be very helpful answering your question. There were children that age on my cruise and they were having a great time, especially when they went to the wheelhouse and met the captain. You will have to look at their website or call the ticket office for ticket prices.

Are we allowed to bring to bring our own blankets for the sunset cruise? Last time there was a shortage so I was curious if that’s okay. Thanks!

I want on the morning cruise and it was very cold and windy. Everyone wax wearing warm jackets and long pants . No blankets were offered. You may want to contact them directly but I doubt it will be a problem to bring s folded blanket but st least wear a jacket if you go on the cruise

Hi 78traveler,
Thanks for inquiring about our tours. The Portland City and Lighthouse Tour, our 105-minute trolley tour, can get occasionally get a little long for children of that age, as you spend almost the time on the trolley except for the 20-30 minute stop at the lighthouse towards the end of the tour.
We do offer a 60-minute trolley tour of Portland, called our Peek at Portland, which starts on June 17th and goes through September 2nd.
Most children really enjoy our Lighthouse Cruise. It's a 90-minute cruise, but you're able to move around the boat once underway and we go by lighthouses, Civil War forts, and look for harbor seals and seabirds. There are 2 bathrooms on board the boat and a cash snack bar as well.
