Allen Pond Park is a nice place to visit. Fun playgrounds for children in a few locations (different equipment from eachother). There are paddle boats and other non-motorized boats available. Enjoy concerts on the stage on Sunday evenings throughout the summer. But it's a nice place to relax, enjoy the scenery, picnic, walk the paths around the lake,etc. any day, any evening. There is an ice rink there but I don't ice skate so I don't know when or if it is open to the public.

Great place for sport. But not really a must see. Guess there is no must see places in Bowie so ok that the park is second place on the activities here.......

Always lots to do! Great for walking/jogging. Convenient to ice arena. Good place to have picnics. Lots of playground stuff for kids 10 and under to do. Can rent paddle boats in nice weather.

Allen Pond park is great for all. There are ball fields, soccer fields, skate board park and an ice skating rink. The approximately half mile jogging/bicycle path around the pond is mostly level and the rental paddle boats are available during the summer months. The playground is designed for enjoyment for all children, including those with limitations. Summer concerts, local bands, and the various special days, Bowie Fest for one, make it a great place for family picnics and events.

Allen Pond, by and large, is a great place to go visit either alone or with others. There are several different things to enjoy at the pond. Bring your walking shoes to enjoy a good walk. Also, fishing rods can be accommodated as well for you to cast and catch, a license is a must. Also, bring your children to the playground and other sports activiites.

Very family friendly with lots to do for kids. Skate board parks, swings, jungle Jim’s, & lots more. Boats to rent for adults. Picnic areas for cookouts. A great place to spend the day with friends. Fishing, walking paths. What else could you possibly want!

I have visited Allen Pond twice recently, which reminded me of how much this park is a neighborhood gem. Attended BowieFest which was a big community event with entertainment, vendors, food and service providers. Also attended the Music In The Parks Sunday Sunset concert series which is every Sunday from 7-8 PM (last concert in series on Sept 1). Both events were very enjoyable. Allen Pond also has walking paths, several ballpark fields and a nice playground.

There are a very few grills in the park. Your best bet is to bring your own!!!

No fee. The park is open to the public. Even the Sunday night summer concerts are free! Great community!
