My daughter has volunteered here for years. If you want a fun trail ride on wonderful horses this is definitely a place you would want to try out.

Our first time at Painted Horse Ranch and it was above and beyond our expectations. It was a family outing with our 18 year old daughter. Her first time on a horse by herself and everyone at the ranch, and especially our trail guide, was very patient and attentive. Beautiful horses and an amazing trail through untouched woods. Best part - stopped at a creek for the horses to take a drink. They started to play in the water! Guide very attentive made sure all of us were well behind and no problems. The hour went by so quickly! A must do for a family, especially if you love horses and "hiking" in the woods - just let the horse do it for you.

I was Celebrated my Birthday with Wolf and his crew at the ranch- two fun filled days of trail riding through acres of untouched woods, corn fields, and a running stream. The weather couldn't have been better and the company was awesome!
Wolf really takes excellent care of his horses. They are so gentle and lovable, I felt like I was riding a big Dog lol My horse is named Ottawa, and what a good girl she is to ride! I really enjoyed the trail rides to see the leaves change smell the crisp air and admire the beautiful scenery/ I was totally relaxed and just LOVED my Birthday weekend
I enquired and Leasing a horse is also available and I truly encourage anyone who loves riding to do this here at PHR . It is something I am definitely going to be signing up for real soon!

I went with my kids to the Painted Horse Ranch today. Wolf the owner and Solomon who was our trail guide were awesome. They both cared about the safety of the kids, gave amazing instruction and kept checking the entire group during the ride. We went on a 1.5 to 2 hour ride and we had a blast. The horses are WELL cared for and you can tell have been well trained. The price was even better. This is a must do on your list for the summer.

The Painted Horse Ranch exceeded my expectations! I called that morning and they had a ride for me that day! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The horses were well taken of and really fun to ride. Laura took me out. We had a blast! The scenery was beautiful. I cant wait to go back and ride again. Amazing!!!! Thank you!

Wolf and Lauren went above and beyond to make sure my sister and I were comfortable. They picked calm horses and gave us a quick riding lesson as we were beginners and my sister was very scared. The trail ride was beautiful and the horses were majestic. This is not just a business or a job to these people. It is a passion, and we feel blessed that Wolf and Lauren shared it with us. I also wanted to mention that it was just two of us on a very short notice and they had everything ready and had one person leading and another behind it was 1:1 staff to guest ratio which I truly appreciated.

We have now been on several of Wolf's trail rides and enjoyed everyone of them. Each ride is unique, it's worth the trip to check this place out.

This is the BEST horseback ride that I have every been on in this area and probably one of the best of 3 ever..and my husband said it was his best experience..My husband and I came from Philadelphia (about 1 1/2 hrs) and picked up our daughter who lived close..We had been to another stable for a ride and they were just fine but we wanted a different ride. This stable offers many varieties of rides from 2 hr to half day with a lunch stop. It was peak fall color time and we rode through the forest crossing streams,over bridges,along farms and the views were so varied..Not just the standard ride in a row tail to head..There was plenty of room to ride side by side in lots of areas..The owner/guide, Wolf, took each of us off by ourselves before the ride to evaluate our basic skills..that's never been done before..after about 15 minutes he asked if we wanted to trot, when it was a nice clear area..if everyone did well with that then we did a little canter..so..depending on the groups wants, you can do more or less. We did the half day and loved it..I asked about snow rides and they are available and we're coming back for that. I have never ridden in the snow. Can't wait!
