Small but interesting and picturesque lighthouse. It's only 36 feet tall so getting up the stairs is not bad. The last 7 steps up the ladder to the top could be challenging for some. I really enjoyed the whole park.

Worth the walk up the steps for the view. The last section is a ladder which could be difficult for some.

I wasn't planning on a visit to the light house, but when I saw the door at the base was open, I was intrigued. I had forgotten that on weekends in the summer both the light house and the Keeper's House are open to the public. I was impressed with the steep circular stairs. A guide was posted outside and explained that the light house was constructed of granite from nearby Port Deposit. In fact he pointed to barges in the Bay that to this day transport granite from the Quarry. Upon my inquiry he also confirmed that the light house at Elk Neck Park in neighboring Cecil County was made with the same design and the same local granite.

Checked out the lighthouse with the kids during a recent trip. It is free (but they do ask for donations). There are a lot of historical markers around the area telling about the history of it.
We were able to climb to the top, but be prepared if you have little kids or are not too steady on your feet. The last few feet of it is a metal ladder going through a hole in the top. My six year old was a little nervous going up and down it (so was I), but he made it with no problem.
There is not a lot of room up top, either. There were four of us up there, and we were pretty crammed in.
It is a cool little lighthouse in a pretty nice town. Definitely recommend. And make sure you check out the museum across the street, too!

markers are all around explaining the history of this lighthouse and waterfront. Area is so clean and seemingly safe!

We walked from the center of town to the lighthouse and had our cameras to take photos. We turned the corner and saw the lighthouse. Wow. It was small. Not much here

This little park overlooks the river and is a nice quiet place to enjoy the sights of the waterfront. There are a number of informational signs for the lighthouse detailing the history of this part of the state, and other nearby sights include a mariners museum and a waterfowl decoy museum.

I live in the area and I never cease to become bored with going to walk here. It's a family friendly and safe area with no crime and plenty of shopping and dining near or close by.

Concord Point provides an important lesson in early 19th Century Havre de Grace history. The Point itself was the location of efforts to defend the city during the War of 1812. Ironically the classic light house made of granite from nearby Port Deposit was not constructed until 15 years later. Although not functioning as a light house today, it did operate for longer than others in the Chesapeake region. The site includes well maintained walkways, a pier along the waterfront, the light house keepers house, informative historical plaques, and the cannon that tried to hold off the British invaders. Concord Point is a must see for everyone visiting the city.

This lighthouse is located at the start/end of the Havre de Grace Promenade. We were not allowed to enter it due to Covid closure, but it was nice to see a piece of history in such a lovely setting. There were many people in the grassy areas surrounding the lighthouse picnicking and enjoying the scenery.

Steam boat, and restaurant near by. also the marina might have a hall, same with American legion. They have a small hall but they also have an outside set up. It really matter how big you want your wedding. Small would work. in the area.
