We just spent $28 on an Uber to go to MoBA and it’s closed. The guy at the ticket counter said it’s been closed for a year. Now we’ll spend $28 to go back to Boston and I’m pretty pissed about this whole situation.

The world needs more places like MOBA. From the curators' descriptive labels to the struggles of the artists, you cannot help but feel better after a visit. I'm sorry that some of the commenters here seem to have delicate sensibilities and no sense of humor; this hampers their enjoyment of life I might imagine.
I understand the museum must move from the theater. Whatever institution can house MOBA in the future will be the better for it.

Checked website, avoided seeing any of the displayed painting that flash up on their home page.
Was really looking forward to visiting, took a long trip to get there to find out after asking a few different staff at the theatre that the place is still closed for renovations. Neither website or the answering message recorded with phone number indicate this...

The art is so awful it's funny!!!! Definitely worth going after seeing a movie at the Somerville Theatre (and it's free with a movie ticket).

I went here with a few friends and it was a riot. The museum is in the basement of the Cambridge Theatre; entrance is free with a movie ticket OR you can email the email address above for free tickets. The descriptions on the artwork are really funny and can actually be very insightful. I plan to purchase some prints online!!
