The trails were well marked and not too difficult. It was really cool to visit these big rocks and think about what it must’ve been like to shelter here. It was pretty quiet and made me feel calm. I recommend this to anyone hoping to exercise, be outside and feel like they are in a different time.

It is suitable for the family hiking definitely. Rocks are adventurous for us to sneak in and out. Enjoying the beautiful view of the pond from the rock house. It is worth to visit there for less than 90 min. Easy finding trails so far...

I believe Rock House Reservation is among my favorite places for a short hike. It's great for couples, families or those who hike solo. The is a significant grade leading up to the Rock House itself. The views are stunning, particularly in the autumn and just before leaves have grown in.
There is a small parking lot on route 9, and maps available there, which should be returned. After seeing the Rock House, there are a number of other trails, should you wish to venture further. I recommend the one that waders around a meadow.

The Rock House Reservation is very near to my home so I go there often. There are a number of beautiful dimensions to the Rock House Reservation including a small pond, a rocky area that forms a protective overhang, and many well marked trails to walk.

Love going here for a hike, although be prepared for ticks especially if you plan to bring Rover with you.

Easy roadside stop. Free. Easy for family and kids (no strollers). Not a serious hike, but well worth the time. The rocks are amazing. Toilet available near the trail-head. We heard there would be lots of mosquitoes, but before noon that was not the case.

We have lived less than 5 miles from Rock House Reservation for over 35 years. Our children and grandchildren are still enjoying it. We have hiked the trails and participated in geo-caching, letter boxing, scouting events, and family outings.
don't forget that you are in nature and take proper precautions. There have been underground wasp and bee nests, as well as spiders and snakes. Oh, my! :)

a fun hike through the woods. a bit uphill. can be buggy because it is shady so bring repellent. right off the state road.
