So great to stay in this beautiful mid century modern home complete with furnishings and art from the period! The views from the common areas and the guest rooms are incredible—Mr. Greylock.
The people who run the property are lovely—friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the beds comfortable
Throughout New England there are numerous Victorian-era B and Bs. This was a unique and exciting opportunity to spend time in a home whose style of architecture is not all that common in this part of the country.

We stayed three nights and relished all of it. A place to RELAX! Views are amazing. Being in a period museum house was wonderful. Think late 50's, early 60's decor. Nothing to do but put your feet up and be taken care of. Mt. Greylock out your door.

But with the now two week memory still remaining of a great place I will The Trustees should be proud. The way the place is kept as it was, and the way the event is low key and quiet, one just wants to sit and look at the view. The food was fine, there was plenty of hot water, the rooms was great, and well maintained. It is not cheap but if you "have to ask...."
The "spring specials" helped the cost but really we do not regret the effort esp. since we are members of the Trustees and are pleased to support such a good place. BTW the hiking area is good too, though muddy....

Stayed for 3 nights in the West room. The house does look a little dated when you first arrive, but it's all part of the modern aesthetic. The interior is comfortably furnished, the room was nice, the breakfasts were delicious. It was rainy most of the days I was there, but the views on the one sunny day were breathtaking! The trails were muddy but mostly still walkable and I especially loved standing by the pond on the South Trail listening to the birds. Williamstown is only a 10 minute drive away and I enjoyed the restaurants, art museums, and college-town energy there. Overall a great retreat in the Berkshires!

The property looks a bit “tired” upon driving up to the entrance. Granted, we visited on a rainy April day before anything was in bloom. The interior has a comfortable mid-century modern feel. It is very quiet and relaxing with nice background music and spectacular views. We rented the Greylock room which was very large and had a deck which we weren’t able to enjoy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and satisfactory but needs updating. Breakfast was very nice. We were unable to walk the trails due to the weather. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

TV free comfort, quiet beauty. The breakfast was delicious, the views from the rooms and common areas are vary from breathtaking to merely inspiring. Trails in all directions, museums a short distance away. Staff is lovely and accommodating.

We loved our stay here. So many stunning things - the unsurpassed view of Mt. Greylock and surroundings; the beautiful Bauhaus-style house and accompanying mid-century furnishings; or the lovely unobtrusive trustees running the property. Add in the multiple garden sculptures or the beautiful, well-maintained gardens in which to enjoy the views, or the mini-hikes around the 300 acres, there literally is something for everyone. But especially if you appreciate a mid-century setting tastefully and carefully done, that is so welcoming, then this is the place to stay.

Some things don’t change- the views, the walking trails and the unique decor. Covid changes others- requiring tests from many guests and no
community table at breakfast. Some things might be considered problematic e.g. unreliable hvac controls, a quirky shower and the drive of several miles to downtown Williamstown. And it is not inexpensive. But we keep going back in any case because it is special.

We were lucky to have an excellent view from a large deck paired with good weather.
Hiking paths were well marked. Staff was accomodating and relaxed considering the protocols we all followed.
Woke up to an ample breakfast with a mountain vista.
Room was very comfortable.

Here as a hiker not as a guest. Nice scenic area and plenty to relax and unwind with on your walk. Great part of a day trip or overnight.
