Cages far too small for animals, who were almost all anxiously pacing around thr edges. Trashy practices like having you pay to pet bears. Wildly inadequate facilities. For example, Staff had to tell people not to walk anywhere near the buffalo because they were ramming the inadequate fencing (literally chicken wire on wooden posts). Frankly, the place should be shut down given how small the enclosures were.
If you want a depressing dump that abuses animals for cheap amusements, go ahead. Otherwise, I recommend going to a real zoo.

This zoo is better than many big city zoos we've been to with clean healthy animals and a nice staff. We've been there twice and will be back

This is a privately funded zoo. It has a large variety of animals. Allow a couple of hours. To see the full zoo arrive after Father’s Day to see the reptile area. Small playground near the entrance.

This is one of my favorite places to go in the Summer! I have purchased a season pass for the last three years, everyone in my family loves going here. The staff is always friendly, the zoo is well maintained and there is a huge selection of animals. I love seeing my favorites every year!

We loved all the animals, they had a pond when you first came in and it was hidden. We went into the viewing platform and there were at least 30 aquatic turtles, ducks and Canadian Geese looking for food. It was pretty cool but I am biased as I am in love with turtles. There was a lot of animals to see and we had a great time. They even had real bathrooms there and not port a potties which was nice. It was during Covid so we were not allowed some inside locations but we had a great time.

This is one of my and my 8 year old sons favorite local-ish destinations. The whole place is very affordable and contains a wide variety of rescued wildlife. We actually enjoy this small zoo so much that we sponsor an animal. So make sure you say hi to the Ring tailed lemurs for us!

Nice quiet place, a little pricey for what they have to offer. Just enough walking when you have children under 6.

I loved being so close and communing with the animals. The staff was friendly and I am bringing a picnic lunch this year to eat on the picnic tables.

We’ve stopped here twice now and it’s the perfect size to spend a few hours. They have a lot of reptiles in an outdoor exhibit, as well as bigger animals like lions and tigers. You can feed the animals so make sure you bring quarters for the feed dispensers.

This a unique and interesting zoo, just outside of Frankenmuth that I try and go to at least once a summer. They have a friendly staff with a variety of animals that aren't always thought of as high profile, high draw animals, along with others that are always good to be able see and learn a bit more about.
This is just a couple miles east of I-75 at the Birch Run-Frankenmuth exit.

I did not see any there for rental. You would probably have to bring your own. Some brought their own wagons to pull kids in.

I think (not positive) it was about $12-15 entrance for adults. We found a Groupon online that gave us a 2 for the price of 1 deal. We didn't have children with us so I don't know if there was a reduced price for children, but I assume they are less.

We paid $12.75 for adults and $9.50 for a 4 year old
I have 3 grandchildren I would like to bring ages 9,5,&2. Is this zoo suitable for them or too small for the 9 year old?

Was just there today and the enclosures are sooooo small for some of those animals. Yet you have the space for larger enclosures. Very sad. The Bears are sitting on concrete and have zero grass or natural environment. Small lion and wild cat enclosures. Monkeys sit on chain link fencing. I don't understand how this promotes a natural environment.

I didn't find the cages small for the most part but there is no attempt to make a habitat that is like "home" for the animals.

How come your enclosures for the animals are so small? It's all over FB, it is really animal abuse! We see the pictures, very sad, don't you think?
