Stopped in over the weekend as I was in town and had nothing going on in the evenings. Surprisingly it was a good time. There was a live band, inexpensive drinks and a friendly crowd. Planned on one drink but, ended up staying 'till they closed.

Now nearly deserted. All the fun regulars from years ago have headed off elsewhere. Once the gathering place for a lot of friendly, sociable, mixy, over 50 locals, today one finds just a few non-social "regulars" who don't seem to like the appearance of "non-regulars." Make sure, at the bar, you sit no less than 3 chairs from someone who doesn't know you. To do otherwise is apparently considered "obtrusive." A depressing place, but the beer is reasonably priced.
My grandfather used to stop in here on the way home from fishing trips, like, 80 years ago. This place is an icon.

This place has been around a long time. You will always find the regulars there. Appears not very clean.
