It is very beautiful mosque. Architecture is really amazing inside and outside. When we visited, there was the prophet Mouhamad’s birth celebration, and we went inside with no invitation, and we were welcomed by group of lovely friendly teens. Would love to visit again for sure.

It felt weird and uninviting. Felt like I wasn't welcome. I wouldn't go back. Maybe if I were Muslim it would be better.

It is a beautiful mosque dome from the inside. We went in on a random day, unannounced (the women among us were in headscarves). We prayed jamat salat with the local imam. The women were seated in the same space as men, without any barriers, and it was refreshing to see that we were not restricted to a small space. The gift shop was closed though (again, it was a weekday prayer, so maybe that's why)

Such a wonderful introduction to Islam

We stopped by on our way to Detroit, with no appointment or idea of what to expect. The outside area is extremely photogenic--be sure to get a picture on the way in! The area is interesting--a school, the mosque, an Armenian Church, etc. all in one block. We were welcomed, given a scarf for the women to cover their heads, and then taken on a tour of the entire complex. Very informative! The architecture is beautiful.

I went to pay my respects to a friend who passed away....
The mosque is beautiful, lights are gorgeous, very clean and welcoming.
I took my scarf and felt very comfortable.

Beautiful Mosque

The largest mosque in North America; this mosque is absolutely beautiful. They have jamaa prayers and everyone is welcome. They do have free tours, too just need to let them know ahead of time.

My daughter and I went to an English speaking Ramadan service in June. The staff, knowing it was our first visit, could not have been more welcoming. The interior is just beautiful.

We enjoyed our visit to the Center. A woman greeted us at the door and gave me a scarf to wear during our visit. She showed us around the mosque and answered our questions. She was very friendly and she shared about her family. She has lived in the states many years. She is appalled at the attacks from the Islamic terrorists. We had a good conversation about the misunderstandings between the faiths. We are Christian. I would recommend this for everyone. We need to understand others faiths and learn to love and communicate with everyone.

ICA is a great religious edifice and landmark in the heart of a religious land that includes churches and mosques. It is always a pleasure to visit the Islamic Center that is the epitome of tolerance and religious coexistence amongst the major world religions. The atmosphere is nostalgic because ICA grew with the community and witnessed all their growing pains and joys.
