My daughter got a UTI swimming at this beach and we spent most of a day at urgent care with her almost passing out.

Its a lovely beach. It seems most bad reviews are old, from back before it was redone. The ecoli is runoff from animals and the water is tested constantly for it. Super regulated.
This is not a bad area of Flint, I dont know why people say that, its more Genesee than Flint anyway. Its a lovely forested area. Never seen anything shady go down. I live less than 10 miles away so super close.
The beach is cleaned often and the sand is soft and good for play. There is natural clay in the water so the shoreline can be slippery at times. Due to the clay the water is not clear but there isnt a big issue with plants, weeds or rocks.
The facilities are cleaned regularly. There is a splash pad and playground.
They even have a summer day camp.

This is a great beach. It was clean and very well kept. Lots of parking and plenty to keep kids busy.

Clean, family oriented. Picnic tables. Nice hike if you start at stepping stone falls. Fun splash park for little kids.

Beautiful big playgrounds facing the beach plus a splash pad. Very family friendly for us. I enjoy bringing people here. Especially near the mid to end of August as it seems super quiet many days. Great Job bluebell. Two thumbs up!

This place is just majestic. Period. I've been here plenty of times to go fishing, and I do have to say that the fish don't bite a whole ton right off of the dock, but if you venture out into the water on a boat or canoe or something, the fish seem to bite more. With the weird Michigan weather, I only recommend swimming in the summer time.

My workplace rented the place for the youth in our community, we had a ball. The ground was clean and the fishing area was nice too.

Been reading some bad reviews about Bluebell beach. Yes, it can get crowded on a holiday when everyone has the day off but generally is is not and there is room for everyone. The kids love the water park and large sandy beach, the restrooms are clean, BBQ gills are available. The e-coli situation is when it is very hot and it is from animal waste runoff, you know birds and deer. It is monitored constantly so there is no danger, if the levels are high just don't go in the water. It is a safe place to visit and there is a park ranger station (certified police) one mile away.

The beach was incredible. Sandy, clean, and they had a splash pad area for the little ones. The kids loved it! Right across from Stepping Stone Falls and next to Huckleberry Railroad. Make a day of it!

I beached at Bluebell all summer last year. Why? It was clean, awesome atmosphere, and held entertainment for all ages at times. I was so pleased with last year's summer fun at Bluebell I planned my 2017 Family Reunion there. Come on out with your family or solo, you won't be disappointed. Be safe this summer, hope to see you there.

Leased dogs are welcomed at park but, not in the beach area. You can let your dogs in the water at the north end just passed the beach area.
