There are three movies, lots of pictures and if you take the time to sit down and watch one or two of the movies about the Bridge construction you will gain a MUCH better appreciation of what the iron workers did in 4 years. Going here the first day gave a lot more meaning to everything in Mackinaw.
I would HIGHLY recommend this. By the way, it is free.

Nice little museum. Above mama Mias pizza. Order some food, tour museum, go eat. Or just do museum. No charge for the museum. You have to walk through restaurant to get to it, but staff are super friendly

This place was amazing - so much information about how the Mackinaw Bridge was built. Videos to watch, all kinds of artifacts to look at and such good personal stories about those who worked on this bridge. It's upstairs in a pizza place and we might have missed it had not the lady in the pizza place kept telling us about it. Sure glad she did because it was quite an attraction and free to boot!

LOVED this! Especially since my husband is a retired Iron Worker and our son is a working Iron Worker. The bridge is amazing and we appreciate the attention the museum gives to the hard working Iron Workers.

It's probably easily missed since it's upstairs of a pizza place. It's free to get in and has a lot of artifacts from the Mackinaw Bridge construction. There's a nice film playing about the construction that's worth seeing.

What a spectacular museum that goes over the history of Mackinaw City, the bridge, the war and the people that set up camp here to protect this powerful place in our US history. Its definitely worth it. There is a walk around the beach with historical landmarks, a lighthouse, and so much worth it. This is a five star experience.

We drove over the bridge go to the upper peninsula. On the way back we took a cruise by Shepler boats of lighthouses and we went under this bridge. It’s interesting to hear about the suspension bridge. We also got look at the bridge when we went to the Old Mackinac Lighthouse.

It was a nice place to see the history of the bridge. And it be able to walk under it and right up to the lake. Didn't realize that it is 5 miles long to get to the other side. Don't care much for driving over bridges lucky for me that I was not driving over it. The bridge itself was beautiful to see up close. Something everyone should really see in person.

An unusual museum, but held much information. The video is a must see. Learning about the engineering project was amazing. Free.

Loved seeing all the interesting artifacts and newspaper articles on the construction of the bridge. They have a small theater where you can watch a video on how the idea for the bridge was born and the construction, This is a very informative place to pop in and learn a little bit about Michigan's past and it's all free, I would highly recommend taking the time to stop in.
